    • Very good quality ESC.
This seems to be a very good quality ESC. I like how it is wired for 8s to start (two iC5 plugs in series), plus a jumper for one of those plugs if you are using 6s. The cooling fan is nice. The only thing they got wrong? There are four mounts for screws -- all of which are blocked by wires. They didn't think that through. So it has to be mounted differently; I use velcro plus thin zip-ties. I like the iC5 plugs a lot -- they are EC5 compatible, but go together and apart much more easily. They are also easier to solder on, if you need to replace any. ... show more

Very good esc , easy programming with radio also get most telemetry without buying extra things. if you use spektrum radios its a must have. if you use other brand radios i dont know that you get use of all or any of the features or any telemetry do your research before buying. if all you need is throttle yes it should work... ... show more

The Avian line of Spektrum products is really great for integration with their transmitters. I use these with an ix12 and love the telemetry feedback and Textgen options. I'm in the slow process of moving to all of these type of speed controllers to work with Spektrum's flybarless controller on my model helicopters. ... show more

    • Unreliable with 12 S lipo
I’m lucky I didn’t crash my 60cc yak54 and my 60cc MXS-R!!! Both planes using spectrum motors, and this 120 spectrum ESC after 15 minutes of runtime both planes died and would not spend the motors after making a weird screeching sound. Lucky it happened on the ground I see that Louis in the review above me was not as lucky and crashed his !! ... show more

    • Unreliable technology
Crashed my GAUY X7 due to this ESC, the motor made an extrange sound. Now motor doesn't spin and ESC doesn't conect to the programing card. Now i will never trust any product with the SPECTRUM brand on it.
