I have a big lazy (Maine Coon) cat who gets bored with toys after a minute or two. The fishing rod was OK for a little while but that didn't last long either. This speedy ball toy is the only thing that keeps him entertained for a long time. He has quickly learned to pick it up by the tail and carry it back to his favorite spot, but of course, then it takes off again once he sets it down. Our three cats are very picky about their toys. They pretty much only like tinsel balls but this toy has them stalking it throughout the house. I love that it’s rechargeable and has two speeds. This toy is great at getting itself unstuck which means I don’t have to babysit it nearly as much as some other “smart” toys. My cat loves it for about two minutes until it runs full speed into a wall, which knocks the “headphones” out of alignment just enough that you can hear the motor running but it won’t move until I pick it up and fix it. It’s a great idea, it just needs work.

The media could not be loaded. Big Hit! Even my cat who doesn't play with anything is chasing it all over the place, and it's hard to get stuck. It slows down as the battery starts dying but it's been going for over an hour entertaining them and I've only had to move it myself twice after hearing it stuck in the same place for a while. I blocked off those places and haven't had any more problems. They love it. I like the smart setting. The fast setting was way to fast though. Wish they had slow and slower instead. This toy works great. The negatives I’ve read are true. It picks up dust bunnies and cat hair. But it runs right along. After all it is a cat toy. My cat likes watching it and follows it around but doesn’t chase it. A kitten would probably chase it. It works exactly as expected, the charge lasts a long time. The tail broke off the first day and I can’t find replacements so I marked it down a star but I would recommend. ... show more
