I got this after my swim instructor told me to get rid of the floaties/swimmes with the arm floatations. This is much better to teach children to swim. Unlike typical bulky life jackets this is very streamlined and easy to practice swimming in. My 5 year old son (size large fits even though he is very slim for his age but would also fit larger child) is just learning to doggy paddle and he can swim with proper form in this and then take it off and practice and it improves his unaided swimming. It is also great for my younger 2.5 year old son (size medium fits well). It does not ride up at all. ... show more
