Description

Spectre air intake systems are designed to increase horsepower and torque in your vehicle, while also working to protect your engine from harmful contaminants and debris. Each air intake system comes with a washable, reusable, low-restriction Spectre air filter, a polished aluminum intake tube, and a black powder-coated heat shield. Spectre air intake kits include the necessary rubber boots, velocity stack, stainless steel clamps, and all necessary hardware for an OE fit and finish. You can hear it growl once you go past 3000 rpms. I've seen a very slight difference in gas milage of about +.5 mpgs. After a 2 way 6 hr drive, it's still works sounds amazing. My wife hates it because it gets so loud so it's perfect.

Power and mileage: I've had this installed for 2 days. I've already noticed my MPG tick up .5 mpg. I'm sure it will continue to rise. Power gains are minimal but that was expected. I notice a little more pep off the line and definitely notice a stronger pull as I'm passing someone in the 40-60 MPH range. 4 stars here. Noise: You can absolutely hear this thing in the cabin and it is loud. However, I only start hearing it at 3000 rpm. Well, my Grand Cherokee shifts at 3000 under normal driving conditions in eco mode. If you stomp on it you'll hear it. It sounds mean, though, nothing like a V6. Sounds aggressive, not cheap. 5 stars here. Install: Install was easy except for one major thing. The crank case stem coming off the intake tube is completely in the wrong place. So wrong in fact that you really cannot use the factory tube connector. You need to buy a small 1" hose or connector piece to get it to work right. I had one extra from another intake so I was lucky. But Spectre really should provide one of those with this kit. Install gets 3 stars for that. Value: 5 stars at $180. It's virtually identical to the KN, for half the price. Only difference I can tell is the KN comes with the hose you need. ... show more

This was somewhat easy to install. taking old air cleaner off really opens engine up. easy to install Spectre air intake. I was getting 19.5 mpg over all, but now I'm getting 23MPG. has a nice 4 barrel sound when you get into it. Well Worth The $$$$$ money spent!!!

    • Doesn’t quite fit a 2018 Durango.
Was easy to install. It is a bit too small for my Durango so I did have to go to an auto parts store and get a larger rubber gasket to fit it. It really makes a difference sound wise. There definitely is an increase in horsepower and overall my Durango runs much better. (2018 Dodge Durango SXT PLUS AWD) ... show more

Does not fit Dodge Durango 2019. Keeps coming off. Clamps are not good as well. air intake goes into car when off. i spent more trying to make it work. i purchased better clamps but dealer took off black casing because i was told pipe is a little shorter. one side kept coming off and i was inhaling the intake. i then went to another location to re-attach and it came off completely. Don't waste your money. Easy to put on but its not compatible with Dodge Durango for sure ... show more

Decent product. Had to custom heat the breather tube/port. Was way off to fit. 180'. Instructions are weak on that.
