Description

Spectracide® Terminate® Termite & Carpenter Ant Killer2 with the AccuShot® Sprayer is an indoor and home barrier treatment that kills termites, carpenter ants, carpenter bees and other listed insects on contact. This ready-to-use formula also stops spiders, roaches, fleas and ticks and provides up to 9 months’ control indoors against carpenter ants. Use this non-staining formula outdoors around foundations and outside buildings, porches, woodpiles, wooden fences and decks. Indoors, spray areas where listed nuisance pests are found, including baseboards, dark corners, cracks and crevices. The AccuShot® Sprayer reduces hand fatigue with a 2-finger trigger and a continuous action power sprayer – no pumping or squeezing, just press to spray. This battery- powered wand is also extendable for improved accuracy (batteries included).

Spectracide Terminate Termite & Carpenter Ant is a decent product, but it's not the most effective one out there. On the plus side, it is very easy to use and can be sprayed directly onto wood and other surfaces that are prone to infestations. The spray also is supposed to have a long-lasting residual effect that can help prevent future infestations. However, the downside is that it may not completely eliminate an existing infestation and may require multiple applications, as I saw first hand with my ant problem. Additionally, the spray has a strong chemical odor that can be bothersome and may require adequate ventilation. Overall, while it can be a useful tool in termite and carpenter ant control, it may not be the best option for severe infestations. Therefore, I give this product 3 out of 5 stars. ... show more

I read some complaints about the sprayer wand, but they did read the instructions. It says to turn the end where the spray comes out and then it’s a constant flow until you stop it.

If you like me, you hate the word termites. Especially if you own a home. Every homeowner knows how much it cost for effect termite control and elimination. We want to keep cost down, but we don't want termites either. Now I have been using Spectracide Terminate Termite & Carpenter Ant Killer for more than 3 years. I watch as I applied the spray over the area, I see the termites. Wham! Almost instantly I see the effects. I also spray near foliage and grass areas. Before you know it, they are dead. This stuff was great in terms of effectiveness. I used it to spray for carpenter ants on the rafters of my screened-in porch. The result was a wave of dead ants. The only down side is that I bought 2 bottles and only 1 of the 2 would spray. The other just pumps and pumps and nothing comes out. Both were opened the same way. After having to spend thousands for tree surgeons, it was suggested to me that spraying the trunks every season, unless you have a winter with 2-3 weeks below freezing temps. This is a product I will consistently use to treat trees, foundation and will purchase again.

    • Completely worthless due to a pointless sprayer

This highly dangerous chemical is made far more so by having no good way to apply it. The sprayer that comes with it is complete garbage. I was unable to use the product unless I tinkered with it for over 1 minute for each area I was spraying. The spray would start after a while if you primed it (level as the directions stated) only to cut off immediately after. I eventually gave up on using it and instead used it to fill a single carpenter bee hole and looked for another product to do what I bought this product for. I really hate Spectracide now and will not be purchasing any of their products based on this one. I was so unimpressed, I looked up the other companies of the parent company to avoid their products also. They are Kwikset®, Weiser®, Baldwin®, National Hardware®, Pfister®, Remington®, George Foreman®, Russell Hobbs®, Black+Decker®, Tetra®, DreamBone®, SmartBones®, Nature’s Miracle®, 8-in-1®, FURminator®, Healthy-Hide®, Good Boy®, Meowee!® , OmegaOne®, OmegaSea®, Spectracide®, Cutter®, Repel®, Hot Shot®, Rejuvenate®, Black Flag®, and Liquid Fence I sometimes wonder if the world would be a better place if the executives who approved this product were forced to have their children use the product in the same condition we receive it until an entire application was done.
