I have dropped my phone on the floor, on the stone floor and it did not crack. I am replacing this because the popper I had on the back needs to be replaced, and it was easier to buy a new one. I've been using Speck Grip cases since My iPhone 4. Kept one on my 6S for five years until the rubber strips wore out. I thought this new model without the rubber strips just wouldn't compare, but it's worked out very well and I'm very happy. The grip is just about perfect and they manage to do it just with indentations in the case itself - no rubber strips. I specifically looked for one of these without the magsafe cutout, since I never use that anyway and figure long-term it would be better to have the solid back. So bottom line, this case is perfect. If I could give 50 stars I would in a heartbeat. This phone case has been there for me when nobody has. The protection ?!?! When I tell you not a SINGLE scratch???? I have chronic illness, and I often have fainting spells but my phone survives it all. I have literally dropped it off the side of a parking garage deck and it barley moved out of the case!!! Its a bit of a hassle to take off once you get it on (because it fits so nicely) My only thing is, it will wear and tear after about 3-4 years. But you’re definitely getting a bang for your buck. As another reviewer pointed out, and I should have listened, this case does NOT include a ring of magnets inside like the old speck cases did. Therefore, the case may not have enough force to attached to your car mount for instance. The packaging on this speck case says "MagSafe fast charge compatible" which it appears to be, but it does not contain the metallic strip in the old cases from a few years ago. ... show more
