My review is based on using it underwater. I used it for the first time today… And it was exactly what I wanted. I wanted to listen to music as I swim my laps for an hour plus. I clipped it to the middle of the top of my bathing suit (female) so it is in stereo. My only problem is I could not get it to go into the shuffle mode. I will have to practice with this because I certainly don’t want to start my playlist over every time I start to swim. It was still going after 75 minutes! Update: I have use my barnacle daily. I no longer have a problem shuffling the songs. I decided I wanted to get a second one and a friend told me to buy it from Neiman Marcus. They are $36 at this time! Seriously Amazon; you have overpriced this.

Speaker itself works fine and I found out the hard way that it really does float. Stuck it to the front of my paddleboard and didn't hold for more than 5 minutes. When I looked closely, there are very small dimples in the board and it lost suction. Trying different work arounds to make it still work. Battery life isn't great so I've purchased a battery pack to take with me also.

Best water proof speaker I've found i take it out in the ocean all over on my SUP board.. of course once submerged you regain full sound faster after removal from wayer if u shake or blown out the water. But doesn't float so get a floaty attack hment of you might be swimming down for it haha

My first speaker was an absolute bust, but they were great and replaced it. I really wanted to love the speaker but for the price I could have gotten something else, much better. If it gets water on it the sound quality is bad. Also, it sounds ok at a lower volume, but turn it up and it sounds horrible. Unhappy with my purchase
