I have been using this both in my garage while working and in my laundry room while doing a remodel. In both situations it works great! Like any bluetooth device it was easy to pair to the phone but was surprised me was the connection it created was so strong. I am able to walk all around my garage or the downstairs of my home and not lose the signal. The music is surprisingly loud with a good amount of bass. The sound is clear and well rounded with balanced highs and lows. I have used it for several hours across several days and the battery has held strong. I believe that it really does have a 20 hour battery life. The RGB LED lights are not necessary but they are a fun addition to the speaker giving it a little extra flair. With as loud as this speaker gets (while keeping clarity) It works great in multiple environments even when there are tools and such going on and off. The handle makes it like a lunch box easy to carry and move around. I also love that the yellow color helps it blend in with my Dewalt tools. I have used this work speaker on the beach, in the garage, and at construction sites. Thanks to its IPX6 waterproof rating and durability, it remains sturdy regardless of exposure to wind, sun, or rain. The sound quality is clear, and it can get really loud. The Bluetooth connection is fast, and even when I walk up to 80ft away, it stays connected reliably. Its Bluetooth range limit should be around 100-120ft. The design of this bluetooth speaker wireless is my favorite, especially the LED lights on both sides that flash along with the music beats. I enjoy placing it on the table in my backyard and dancing, barbecuing, and listening to music with my family during the evenings. It's highly portable, and on workdays, I bring it to my garage. Listening to music while working, its tank-like construction and enhanced bass effect boost my productivity. It lasts the whole day without running out of power, truly long-lasting. The portable handle has been crafted with great attention to detail, with a silicone-like texture that I really like. The bass effect at maximum volume is incredibly strong, and the sound quality is impressive. Even in a noisy workshop environment, I can hear every detail of the music clearly. ANCOON Bluetooth Speaker Wireless: 80W Loud Jobsites Portable Speaker Review Right out of the box this Ancoon boom box is impressive simply because of its mass. I was expecting a device weighing much less. Unlike another reviewer’s remarks, I think that this speaker is put together pretty well and should hold up reasonably well to normal use. From the bright yellow and black color scheme that matches DeWalt power products it’s obvious that the target audience is construction workers and fans of that brand. What they get wrong is the addition of the “light show” strobing illumination bars on each side. Marrying a job site and a disco is hardly a match that makes sense. At least the lights can be turned off. I cannot attest to the waterproofness of this device, but they do hide the in and out ports behind a sturdy rubbery cover. One plus is the addition of an AUX port so you can add an old-school iPod Classic, portable CD player, cassette player or any other device that can connect through a 1/8 inch stereo jack. There is also a USB C charging port so you can keep your phone topped off using the internal boombox batteries. The front controls are easy to use with gloved hands and they too, are rubberized for waterproofness. The Bluetooth antenna is strong and I could use the speaker through several walls away from the source within my house and garage. Now to the sound. . .frankly, its not great. If you sit down in front of these speakers and are expecting good—not great, just good—reproduction of music you are probably going to be disappointed. It’s all about the mid-tones with this boombox. There is a “Bass Boost” button which is how I always listen. Now, the way this featured is implemented, I don’t think that the bass is boosted at all. What I hear is that the EQ changes to cut the mids and highs and I then raise the volume to compensate. Regardless, that is the setting I prefer. Having said that, I have listened to these speakers for quite a few hours puttering around inside and out doing chores. I listened to acoustic folk music as well as screaming guitar gods streaming from my iPhone 11 pro through Bluetooth, and was plenty happy to have the speakers. So, if you are at a job site, fussing with your car out in the garage, working in your garden, soaking up the sun at the beach or at a lake, or having a quiet patio party then I think you’ll be plenty satisfied with the output. I will say this: for a Chinese product with a fair amount of sophistication the manual is really well done. The explanations are clear and concise. It is amply illustrated and with few grammatical errors. One glaring exception—there is a tag attached to the handle labeled “WARM TIPS.” Now, I would have said “HOT TIPS.” But maybe it was somebody trying to be playful or clever. To sum up—for its intended use I think it is just fine. Just don't expect an audiophile experience while outside working in the rain and you won't be disappointed. ... show more
