This bra is deserving of 5 stars even though I can't honestly say "I love it" about any bra. Basically, I wanted a bra that would make my upper chest look good in exchange for a level of discomfort that is not worse than the many "bra alternatives" that I've tried over the years. This bra is the only one I've found that meets this basic requirement. It's far more comfortable than a standard bra: no hooks or plastic parts digging in painfully, no nasty elastic rubbing here and there, and the pressure is fairly evenly spread out so there are no major hot spots. The lack of an adjustment for the shoulder straps was not a problem for me, as I always need straps at maximum length and even then they're almost always too short. If you usually have to tighten the straps, you probably will need to break out the needle and thread, or get the straps shortened by a tailor. I also found that the bra ran a little big. I got the next size down and one cup size bigger, and that fit perfectly. I had no problem at all exchanging sizes. Update Jan 2020: The bras I bought in late 2017 are now stretched out enough that they sometimes slide off when I'm wearing them (oopsie!). And they chafe due to being too loose. I guess these won't last more than a year or two, but no matter - this the only game in town for us natural-born bra-haters. Reordering! ... show more

I have been HATING all of my other bras for awhile now and finally decided to do some Amazon review research for bras that look great and are super comfortable. I have found my new love! I am a solid 36C, but I decided to go for a 38C based on reviews and it was the correct choice. I wore my beige one for 3 days in a row (gross, but I didn't want to put on any of my old bras), while I waited for the black and lilac ones to arrive. A big investment, but now I can toss all the rest in a heap and burn them. I didn't realize the lilac was not a white bra, but it's subtle and pretty enough so no complaints there. These bras ain't cheap, but I consider it an investment in my comfort. I hope Spanx sells this style for years to come. ... show more

I wanted to love this so much. I ordered every possible size to make sure I got a good fit. I'm typically a 30DD or a 32D, but the 32D had far too much spilling, so I opted for the 32DD. Everything was great for the first few weeks!! So comfortable, hides perfectly under thin tops, awesome. Then the first strap broke about 3 weeks in... Not like all the way off, but whatever provides tension where it attaches to the cup separated. You can feel it but you can't see it very well (see photo). The fabric between the cup and the shoulder is now thin and stretched and provides zero support. Cue the HUGE gaping on the right side! No way to adjust it, so I just dealt with it by constantly adjusting that side. Then the left side went. I guess now at least it's even?? Since you can't adjust the band or the straps, I now have an outrageously expensive bra that I have to wear with the underwire an inch below my breasts just so I don't have an inch of gap in the top. I plan to try to repair the straps, but for this price I should NOT have to do that 3 months into owning it! I have bras that cost me $10 that held up longer than this POS! Really wish I could return it. If you still want to buy it, go with the smaller size since you'll only spill for a few weeks until the straps give out. :) ... show more

    • Spanx is Great, But This Bra Doesn't Cover It.

I really had high hopes for this bra. When I put it on, I was very happy with the material - very soft! It had a wonderful, comfortable stretchiness to it while still maintaining a solid shape to hold up the girls. But unfortunately, once I got it clasped closed, the side and back coverage it promised just wasn't there for me. I'm sure it is a great fit for someone who doesn't have a lot of extra side and back skin to "tuck in", as it were, but this one didn't work for me. And I love all Spanx product lines! I hope Spanx comes out with a truly full coverage bra - we're talking 4-5 clasps in the back type of band to allow for much wider side and back bands, and wider, comfort-type, straps, with lightly padded cups and perhaps a bit of screen-like material that runs across the top of the cups to prevent spillage? I've just described my perfect bra - oh, and make it available in a 34F with those wider bands - seems an impossible ask at the moment, no matter where I look. You'll have a forever customer in me, at least! Go Spanx! ... show more

Ok, I really loved the idea of the wide shoulder straps! However, there are no adjusters on these straps, which can’t possibly work for all of us, not me anyway, it led to tucking to stay up/on my shoulders, i waiver between a 34DD ,36D/DD, depending on the Brand, why can’t the manufacturers ll use true correct measurements? Maidenform bd V.S. Bands run smallll, compared to maybe Vanity Fair. Back to the bra at hand, sorry. So, really soft, cups run kind of large, even for me, bands are ok, maybe could use a bit more side coverage, cups stretched out probably due to my Tugging away , I own 2 of these, launder after max 2xwear, lingerie bags, only bras allowed in this load, gentle cycle, air dry. Span resumes original shape, wet, stretch, wash, repeat cuz I really do like it for that first time wear. I’m a woman min search of that perfect bra! I’d bet most of us are right? ... show more
