Description

Somewhere in northern Europe, a five-star spa and conference hotel caters to anyone who can afford it. But, at every turn, where luxuriance should reign, things are amiss. I bought this on whim. A hunch. A gut instinct. Not only did I not know who the artist was but I was surprised about how cool this book was. Great artwork where the artist plays with different characters in this nightmare fueled space. I really enjoyed how this story unfolds a lot. I am a favorable fan of horror and odd stories that don't necessarily fit in the cookie cutter machine narratively. I picked this up because the blurb on the back name-checked David Lynch but it could just as easily mentioned Cronenberg as a point of comparison. The story acts in some sort of nightmare logic where there are several threads that weave through the text but they never really resolve.
