This is a very functional dresser. I got it for storing extra clothes and I have never had an issue with it. I gave 4 stars because the directions were mostly clear but it was a little confusing for some parts. I also had to drill an extra support in because one of the integral drawer pieces was damaged. The top piece was also damaged during shipping, but that was only cosmetic damage. ... show more

Absolutely dissatisfied with this product. The first one I ordered had prices broken. Literally in half. I called customer service and they have a replacement shipped out and another company picked up the old one. When I got the new one, the same pieces were chipped however nothing was broke so I assembled it. Had I known I would have had this much trouble I probably would have done a different dresser. The brand south shore seems to be very cheap pieces once you receive them and I understand I didn’t pay high dollar but for over 200 bucks I would expect pieces that aren’t already scratched and chipped or broken at the least. Aside from the terrible quality, assembling this thing is a beast. I’m aware that two people would probably be best but I don’t have the option of having help so for a one woman time, the process takes forever which again I understand the price is not high dollar but it’s a little much for the piece after receiving it. After all the negative, I do like the overall look. I was wanting black wood for my sons room and he loves it. He’s only 2 so the chips don’t bother him. ***update: I have seiner returned this dresser due to the drawers being chipped excessively, the bottom does not stay together, and the drawers do not line up correctly. I got this dresser for my room and when it came in it had a huge hole in the box. Me and my boyfriend begin to build it and the pieces had no letters on it like it was suppose to so it took us about an hour to put together and we were missing pieces so my dresser came out rlly weird and looks like a puzzle piece from the front. It’s very sturdy but isn’t handle with care and isn’t properly packaged so I don’t recommend buying. Hope this helps :] ... show more

I was pretty worried when buying this because of a lot of the reviews but took a chance since it was the much cheaper option and I'm glad I did. I didn't have to use glue, no pieces were missing, and the drawers fit and work just fine. A couple pieces of wood did have chips in them but they're hardly noticeable after using the little marker that comes with it. It looks beautiful and is very sturdy. I was able to stand on it to hang pictures above it and I'm well over 200 pounds. I now have my 52 inch tv sitting on it and I love the way it looks. The instructions couldn't have been more clear and all the wood pieces labeled with a stamp. All the metal drawer brackets labeled with an indent of DL, DR, CL, CR for Drawer Left, Drawer Right, Chest Left, Chest Right so you know which ones go on the main chest or the drawers themselves. If you don't check them and sort them out in the beginning, you will probably end up with drawers that don't fit or only slide out half way. Also note that the drawers are in 2 sets of 3, left and right sides. Mix those up and they'll overlap and wont fit properly. Just take it slow, don't over tighten anything, and pay very close attention to the pieces you're using and you'll have yourself a very nice new dresser. ... show more

I have to say for the poor reviews out there, sorry, but I'm perfectly fine with my purchase. For the price, this is a great dresser. Sure, putting it together was a little cumbersome (as is most furniture), but all of the drawers fit PERFECTLY if you put it together correctly. Material is not the best, but for the price, it is what I expected. I like the no-handle look too. Drawers slide in and out smoothly. No chips on the material. The dresser holds all of my clothes that I fit into one very large suitcase and one medium sized suitcase. The drawers are long enough so I don't have fold over anything. The top seems study too. For the price, it seems right. What I didn't like was that it did take forever to put together by myself. I was given an extra baggie of screws that I had actually had to use to finish putting it together. I'm not sure if that is intentional because there are different furniture packages and maybe they all get the same number of screws and bolts. The packaging was also thin and extremely difficult for the delivery person to drop off. The thin packaging probably is the reason for some dents as shown in the photos. One drawer was manufactured poorly and I will reach out to the supplier to replace. ... show more

Since its not possible to leave zero star reviews on these things i will explain....ordered this and received it pretty quick...assembling this on the other hand not so great we were missing pieces and one of the pieces was even broke...so instead of sending it back we called the manufacture customer support and told them exactly what product we had model number and everything and what was wrong and exactly what pieces we needed....a week later we received the package opened it up and they had sent us all of the wrong parts so we had to call them again and a week later finally had all the correct pieces to finish this...not even a week later the stupid thing started falling apart its just very cheap material and even cheaper hardware i would not waste your money on this dresser just move on to the next one that catches your eye ... show more
