I was hesitant based on the mostly bad reviews but this was the exact size I wanted. I assembled it alone in just under two hours. Easy assembly, decent instructions, extra parts are included. It goes together just like any other DIY assembled piece I've ever had. Finished, it looks fine from a distance, but there are many flaws. Although I had no major damage there are scratches and dents from shipping on the external exterior pieces. It is a very heavy package with very little protection inside. This always results in defects in my experience and it's very true with this. The alignment of the drawers is not good. Spacing and alignment varies drawer to drawer, but if you move the drawers to different positions you may find an acceptable solution. The drawers should be, but are not exactly the same. After moving them around they look good enough, but definitely not perfect. The laminate edges are not clean looking. You can see the wood underneath which is very noticeable with the black. The drawers slide decently but feel cheap. All in all it looks and feels on the cheap side. I do own a few other south shore dressers and night stand that look nice but also have some of the same type of issues. This is relatively cheaper than a lot of other choices but at over $150 it should and could be better. For me it's just storage in my small home office and in a position to be barely seen so I can live with the flaws, but being my fourth and worst South Shore product I wouldn't recommend their products. Does not go together very well. I had to glue the bottom front board in place. I feel if I order a black chest all the pieces should be black if they have a finished surface. Lets not mention some chipped edges. Not planning to buy again.

One of the worse product in the market. Assembly instructions are not clear. Not at All steady. Directions mention in manual was horrible. Some parts were not fitting correct. Took toooooo much of time to make it. Not at all worth it. Amazon should take this seller off the market.

I purchased two of these one for my daughter one for my son not only did it come with 1 million pieces it’s not sturdy very flimsy Comes with a wall anchor to be quite honest I don’t even trust it that’s how flimsy it is and can fall forward and you get what you pay for very unhappy ... show more

The quality of this dresser is absolutely terrible, every single slab of wood is paper thin and looks like it could break upon touching it. I would not recommend ANYONE to buy this dresser as the company selling it refuses to exchange the product or refund for such an overpriced piece of garbage.
