  • Don't buy if you ever might need to move it.
Color: Full/Queen - Pure White
I had such high hopes for this bed. I needed a bed with a blocked off base to keep pets from going under, and the platform and drawers on this seemed perfect. Then I got it. While putting the frame together, it was quickly apparent that the pieces didn't fit together properly. The holes on certain pieces were drilled in the wrong spot or something, because it was extremely apparent with the top boards not lining up along the edges. I let that go, figuring the comfortor would cover the edge so it wouldn't be an issue. Then the drawer issue happened. See, the bottom of each drawer is not made of the same material as the sides or front. Rather, it was more like a thick particle board that slipped into ridges in bottom of each side to stay in place. The way that the construction was, however, made it so that whenever you put any items of weight into the drawers, the bottom would bow, and would slip out of the ridge at the back of the drawer (even after I tried using wood glue to keep it all together). The result is not being able to close the drawer if it's opened all the way because the bowed bottom would catch on the bottom base of the drawer opening, meaning I would have to take everything out of the drawer, detach the drawer, try to put the bottom back in place, and then very carefully put stuff back in. The drawers were also extremely hard to open, which may have been more an issue with being on carpet than the actual bed, but it was still frustrating. Which brings me to my most recent experience with the bed: trying to move it. Yesterday, I needed to rearrange my room due to a new furniture addition. My bookshelves, headboard, everything else moves with no issue (and they're all the same material as the bed, just different makers). Then I moved my mattress to move the bedframe. Firstly, the two panels of the bed at the top were bowing. I've had this bed for maybe two months if that. The piece that goes down the middle to support those pieces only ran along the top and not down to the floor for some reason, and that piece had cracked and broken. I was still determined to move it and continue to use it - until I tried to lift it. My boyfriend and I were both trying to move the frame just across the room and it was not happening. The top panels, having not been able to line them up or fasten them to each other due to the crappy hole drilling, would come up and make it difficult to lift. We turned it on its side and everything was loose. (I know it may sound like it was just user error while building, but I assure you it's not; I've had a lot of furniture like this that I've built myself and this is the first one that has come apart like it has.) In the end, we just slid the frame out to the dumpster and left it there, and now I'm just using the collapsible frame I used before. I probably would have been able to use the frame much longer if I didn't have to move it, but it's definitely one of those things that stays wherever you build it forever. I know you really shouldn't expect much from this type of furniture, and it kind of makes sense since this is one of the cheapest in this style on amazon, but trust me. Spend a little more and get something better. ... show more

  • Not built very well
Color: Full/Queen - Pure Black
When putting it together I followed the directions every step but when I got finished the last board which are the actual platform would not line up because it wasn't square. Also the 1st week me and my wife slept on it the main support board busted in half. The wood is particle board and not very good. But for the price of it I guess its alright but I've already had something break and had to go buy wood to replace the main support board. ... show more

  • Ehhh
Color: Full/Queen - Pure White
I like it but the wood is cheap and chipped and also I have carpet in my room and the weight of the bed makes the drawers hard to open which is annoying. It works but it’s not quality and I probably will only keep it for 2 years

  • Most negative reviews are user error! The bed is fine.
Color: Full/Queen - Pure Black
When I purchased this bed I had not read the reviews. Afterwards I had a look at them, and felt afraid, because many of those reviews were extremely negative. The top 3 complaints: 1. Low quality material 2. Instructions were not clear 3. Not sturdy construction This bed is fine. Seriously. It's ok. For less than $300 you're getting just the right amount of quality. It's all particle board, so you have to be careful when handling it when assembling. The instructions were extremely clear. Not heiroglyphic. Not cryptic. Very straight forward. The illustrations were very crisp and concise. I'm sorry to say it, but anybody who was confused by this, wasn't paying attention and following the instructions to the letter. The bed is sturdy enough. Again, you won't be taking this thing down a flight of stairs, as it is particle board. But it's isn't deceptive. If you punch a hole in this, it's due to abuse, not normal wear and tear. If you assemble it wrong because you didn't follow the instructions, then you're liable to break things on it. I read a complaint saying that the box was "too heavy". It is pretty heavy. I suggest you assemble the bed in pieces. I unpacked it downstairs, and brought the sections up individually, and assembled it in my room. No problem at all. I doubt the bed will last me 5-10 years. But my expectation from a sub $300 bed isn't more than 5 years in any case... This bed is fine. ... show more

  • Pretty alright frame
Color: Full/Queen - Pure Black
It took 3 people to figure out how to assemble everything because instructions weren’t easy to follow along, the building was very tedious and took about 4 hours but it’s pretty sturdy despite flimsy wood. Wouldn’t say it’s the most incredible quality but a floating bed for 300 bucks and it has storage as well is great. Edges are sooooo sharp and would recommend this only for a queen bed not full. Drawers aren’t strong and they didn’t send me 2 screws i needed to secure one of the drawers but whatever, long story short you get what you paid for, can’t complain lol. ... show more

  • Queen-yes, Full-No
Color: Full/Queen - Pure White
I bought this for my daughters full bed. The full fit super tiny on it, and its solid wood with sharp edges. Idk how this will work out, I hope she does not hurt herself on it, shes 9-not a full teen yet. I will have to but some soft edge protectors. For sure get the corner protectors, i already have those at least. Super heavy and sharp. ... show more

  • Not worth the money.
Color: Full/Queen - Pure Black
This looks great online, and we didn't expect something super fancy with that price, but it was poorly designed and made. The particle board wasn't drilled correctly, so It couldn't be properly secured or lined up, it was thin and I doubt it could hold the weight advertised, and they didn't even provide finishing screws, so there is silver screws all over the black top surface. Very tacky. There are better products out there. ... show more
