I think it should be obvious to anyone who pays this amount of money for a piece of furniture that you're not buying anything close to something anyone would describe as 'high quality' .... So with that in mind, it's actually not a bad item. A lot of the other reviews here recommended using wood glue alongside the fasteners they include with the set. I echo that recommendation and believe that if you do this, it will last you quite a while. I took my time and put this thing together in one evening and while it's somewhat flimsy, I believe the addition of the glue will definitely keep it together. I probably wouldn't recommend overfilling the drawers though, as the bottoms are definitely not designed to be under any significant pressure. My only real "complaint" with this item is that the instructions identify all the parts by number ... while the bags that the parts are in are not identified as such. So I had to spend some time - something I also recommend - sorting through all the pieces and numbering them myself so that I wouldn't make any mistakes (some of the pieces look similar but are different) when it mattered. For someone that generally has zero patience for putting things like this together, I never got angry once. I also recommend having a second pair of hands to help you with certain aspects of this. Take your time, USE GLUE, and you'll have a decent little chest here. ... show more

I don't often write reviews, but feel compelled to warn others about this product. I was initially going to actually post a 4 or 5 star review for this item because it looks fantastic. Like others here said, it is sleek, sharp, and looks great in my room. However, a week or so after I built this dresser, it went to crap. Every single drawer falls apart. One day it's the top drawer, the next day the bottom drawer, rinse and repeat. The design is simply so poor that they will not stay together. Furthermore, the thin piece of plywood that they provide for the bottom of each drawer is so thin and has a downward bend to it in such a way that you better believe it will sink and break under the weight of more than a handful of shirts or pants. Not saying that 2 or 3 shirts will break the thing, but I can guarantee that if you try to stuff a normal to heavy amount of clothes in any drawer that it will break by the time you wake up the next morning. I'm certainly aware that this isn't the most expensive or highest quality piece of furniture, but for $170 I expected something that could stay together for over a week. And before you think differently, I can assure you that I built the dresser perfectly and according to instructions. I could not stress any stronger that you need to avoid this item. ... show more

Even though furniture store professional had assembled it and could not adjust this side. However, there were 4 scrwe of 144 was missing. I'm not really happy for such product. I don't know what to do with it, because I'm disable. I'm asking your help to safe return your marchendise ASAP or issue refund. First and foremost, this looks nice. that's the only pro. Assembly was pretty straight forward. instructions could have stated the colors of the screws to be needed on page 7. Customer service is not west coast time zone friendly. The con's. So much wasted space. Again, so much wasted space. I bought these with the intentions of upgrading my kids 3 drawer dresser to the 5. I've had the old dresser for 10 years. Which i bought from Ikea for cheap. this dresser had similar dimensions of my old one. (cool) . Once i started putting this together. I got to the rails.. They are only 13in long...the cabinet is almost on 19in in depth. About 4 to 6in in space is lost, just gone. you can see the gap. the ikea dresser, fully utilized the space. this one, not so much. you can see in the pictures. this company could have used higher wood, longer rails and just put some time into fully utilizing the space. this would have been perfect. As a cost cutting measure, they destroyed this entire dresser.. it is not worth it. the ikea dresser was a beast, this one - is a my little pony knock-off. My kids clothes could be sectioned 4x, a total of 8 stacks of shirts and 4 rows of pants on my old ikea. this one, i could do three rows of pants and shirts. What i could do in three drawers on the ikea dresser, i literary had to use all 5 drawers and with no leftover space..none, zero.. This is a bad review due to me having something to compare this against . if this is your first dresser, it is fine i guess. FYI, lots of damaged pieces , i stopped taking pictures. they don't quality control their product These damages didn't happen in shipping. it happened during the cutting process. Buy from IKEA, skip this garbage made in USA, can't even return this item due to it's weight and not worth the hassle. Just don't buy this. ... show more

    • Beautiful - Heavy with shallow drawers

This was fairly easy to assemble. the instructions say it takes two persons; however, I was able to manage by myself. The packaging and the dresser itself are incredibly heavy. I had to take out the pieces from the box and carry them upstairs as the box was too heavy for me to carry upstairs on my own. The dresser is great. My only issue - and it is slight - is the sides of the drawers are so short compared to the front. I am still able to fit my clothes in, but the sides of the drawer (and the back) are about half the size of the front of the drawer. So far everything has stayed in that I placed in it, but I was slightly surprised they were so much shorter than the front. Regardless, it has been perfect and no issue at all. The dresser is really great. The smell of wood lasted about a week after assembly in the room it was in, but I didn't mind that so much. ... show more
