This is the softest rug I've ever seen. I totally love it and so does my dog. She's always lying on it now. It had a very slight odor that dissipated quickly after opening. Very lightweight and easy to move. My only complaint is the price. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. I feel it's over priced for what it is. Basically a giant 8x10 bath mat. You know, the kind that's super soft and squishy. I'm not sure how well it's going to hold up over time. I am very happy with it though and can't express how nice it feels on your feet. It also looks very nice.

I really like the seller name "SOUR LEMON"—it's fun and memorable. That aside, this is a great area rug. I’ve purchased several rugs for different rooms in my home, and this one is by far the plushest, relatively speaking. The rug arrived in a plain, thick plastic bag, which served as the outer packaging. Inside, the rug was encased in another plastic wrap and vacuum-packed extremely tightly. Be careful when using scissors or a knife to open it, as it’s easy to accidentally cut the rug. Unpacking the rug was actually quite satisfying—it fluffed up nicely once released from the packaging. I had a bit of a stuffy nose at the time, so my sense of smell might have been off, but I didn’t detect much odor. The tag does warn about a possible smell, and there was a very faint one, but I could only notice it when placing my nose right up to the rug. Because the rug was so tightly compressed and folded, there were a lot of creases at first, which is totally normal and expected. The tag advises laying it flat to allow it to recover. After a few days, most of the creases have smoothed out. I also ran a stick vacuum over it, which helped to flatten it further. For this review, I ordered the dark grey version. The color is nice and uniform. The pattern matches the product image, although it’s not quite as crisp in person due to the texture of the fibers and how the light hits it. Though what I really love is how plush and soft it feels. It’s not a thick rug by any means, but it does have some padding that makes it very comfortable to walk on. The underside has anti-skid dots. They’re not super sticky, but they do a decent job of keeping the rug in place on my vinyl flooring. Overall, this is a very nice, soft, and plush area rug. It’s quite large (8x10), so even though it's labeled as washable, I doubt it would fit in a standard home washing machine. The fibers are short, and I had no issues vacuuming it with my stick vacuum—unlike some of my other rugs where the fibers catch in the brush. At $110 for an 8x10 rug (at the time of writing), I think it’s reasonably priced. My only suggestion is for the manufacturer to check the spelling on their care tag—it's something they might want to fix.

I am obsessed with this rug already! I ordered it because I have a senior dog (14 years old) who has arthritis, sundowners syndrome, and is recovering from a totally torn rear leg ligament due to a fall. Obviously, he's very unstable on his feet, and while we've tried and continue to use rubber nail rings, grippy socks, etc., the best thing for his mobility and safety is covering the slick flooring. Enter this rug from Sour Lemon! It is SO plush and comfortable under foot -- I adore it already. The design is elegant and sort of Gatsby-esque, and the 8'x10' covers basically the entire sunroom floor, which is perfect for the doggie. The rug came vacuum sealed and quite heavy, but it unfurled easily, and today as I'm writing this (the day after unpackaging it and taking pictures), there are no more wrinkles or marks from it being vacuum sealed. I also ran my own vacuum on the rug as a test -- some rugs will stop up the suction of the vacuum, even with the brushroll on, but this one didn't! It took some oomph to pass the vacuum over the rug, but it was do-able without jamming the vac. 11/10! Just my kind of rug!!

I ordered this rug to use in my home office. The 8'X10' size is perfect to cover most of my work space area. I do a lot of crafting & this rug is thick enough to protect the carpet underneath from any paint, glue, crafting materials, etc that I accidentally get on the floor. The rug has a good, heavy weight so it stays weighed down & flush to the floor. The corners or sides don't lift at all. The rug is generously thick & it feels very soft when walking barefoot on it. The color is even & the same throughout the entire rug & the textured design gives it a multi-dimensional look, adding another design layer to the overall look of the room. It really is a beautiful rug. Although a bit pricey, it's a thick, quality rug that can last a long time with routine care & maintenance.
