Great radio for what it is has its quirks and flaws such as the bled backlight on the buttons are bright and cannot be dimmed no way to adjust screen brightness when the headlights are on. Would be nice to have the front display show the time or track name when the screen is closed and there is no way to not have the screen pop out automatically but those are minor flaws over all the radio works great connectivity is good for android auto and bluetooth at least not sure about apple car play and it sounds great especally compared to other brands on Amazon this is my 3rd flip out screen I purchased off Amazon and this one is far superior to the other ones price is a bit steep in my opinion but I guess you get what you pay for have been using this radio for about a month now and have not had any mechanical or software issues would recommend and would buy again if your looking for a flip out screen radio your search is over. ... show more

    • Like old school soundstream with new features
This head unit sounds like old school Soundstream products, with very low THD and pleasant sound. But you get Carplay and new features! I would absolutely buy this model again for another car. It installs easily (it does have a fairly large depth when RCAs are attached). The display is great looking, easy to use the touchscreen, and it seems strongly built. For some reason mine doesn't seem to want to save the angle I set it at though. Wireless Carplay is great, hooks up at a fair speed, and has only failed to automatically hook up once. I had to reboot both stereo and phone to recover from that failure. I forgot how much I love software crossovers. They make it so much easier to configure and tune, including realtime a-b tests. These are very configurable, for instance you can set the freq and depth of subsonic filter separately from the low pass filter on the sub channels. I turned off all the crossovers on my amp once this was installed. All the RCAs are 4V, which goes a long way in reducing total noise. There are a lot of configurations in settings, and it is set up for both front and rear cameras. The manual is pretty poor Engrish. It's hard to understand sometimes. ... show more
