I really love this stereo. For the price I’m very impressed. I love the features, and haven’t gotten around to testing them all, but the major selling points for me were screen size, backup camera and CarPlay. Everything has worked flawlessly and I haven’t had any issues with the stereo resetting like some people mentioned. I made sure the power wires were connected well during the install so hopefully that avoided any issues. Two minor complaints: I know this is a safety feature, not sure if CarPlay or the stereo itself, but when in reverse the audio gets quieter which is kind of annoying. I haven’t found that it can be turned off. Second, the touch screen isn’t the most responsive I have ever used, meaning there is a small lag sometimes on button presses but nothing major. Reading reviews I thought I would get a stereo that didn’t work right that I would go to the hassle to install, then have to take out because of issues. Not the case, I’m pleasantly surprised and if anything changes I will update the review. ... show more

    • Bad equalizer
This unit is solid if you’re going from nothing to something. It has bluetooth connectivity which nice for some music or a call if you want to talk through a subpar microphone. The carplay function that gives you access to all your apps is only through usb connection only. The equalizer is very lack luster with audio levels set really really bad. For example if you tune it at max volume for good sound (50 out of 50) its cool but once you drop it to 45 all your low end drops, and when you drop it to 40 all low end is gone and highs flatten out and sound hollow. When you tune it for good sound at 40 and then try to increase the volume it quickly becomes over tuned once you hit 45 and 50 sound like straight garbage. So far very disappointed with this unit. I was trying to upgrade from a basic kenwood head unit to have carplay and a better screen but the sound quality is too subpar for the better screen. Currently running a pair of kenwood amps 600w 4.1 excelon and 1000w class d mono channel amp with capacitor wired up with 0 gauge, pushing a pair of 10’s with a set of 4 door speakers, the infrastructure of the audio system is great when getting info from the old kenwood headunit sounded amazing, but this soudstream is just too lack luster. ... show more

    • Giant screen doesn't go dim enough
Nice, but screen is far too brightly lit, even on the dimmest setting. I have to turn it off to drive at night or the whole interior lights up like I left the TV on at midnight. Any other gripes? The radio dinner can only seek. I can't manually tune in a week station. The 18 FM presets are grouped into 3 groups of 6, and the station automatically switches to the corresponding 1-6 present as you change between the 3 sets, meaning you cannot tube to present 6, then jump to the next group and save it as 12. Not possible. The dimming issue is the biggest, it is really like having a flashlight in your face while you try to drive at night. I can't believe it's legal, it's certainly not safe. We need a software update to fix it. ... show more

Overall not a bad unit. I think it's over priced for the limited features. Pros. Nice sice touch screen tilts up and down and side to side. Sounds great nice eq and sub controls. Apps on phone works well on Android auto. Cons. Not wireless android, no Facebook or social media apps and no browser to link your phone to. Bluetooth hard to connect and this happens every time it restarts. Limited controls ie. You can't adjust volumes for ringer talk volume and other inputs. If you are cranking the volume and the phone rings it's blows your ears up. Poor microphone. Callers can't hear me unless I'm inches from the screen. When using Android auto. Your Bluetooth doesn't work correctly so you can't use the phone to talk to someone without unplugging the cable. I'm sure there is more only had in a week. Using with Skar Audio 4/250 channel amp. Skar Audio 1500 watt mono block 4 JBL GTO series 6x9 and 2 Skar Audio subs in a ported enclosure ... show more

The worst stereo I've had, it's reset on its own like 2 times per day, you lose all your settings and it very annoying to set everything each time. The Bluetooth cuts off every now and then too !
