With the insulating R-value of 0.20, your flooring will feel warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Polyethelyne foam underlayments are the industry standard for floating wood and laminate floors. This underlayment will support and maintain the functionality of your flooring for a lifetime. SoundStep LV underlayment can also be used with radiant heat systems such as QuietWarmth, for an extra warm and cozy floor. Polyethelyne foam will absorb sound and keep it from traveling to other rooms, making floating floors sound solid underfoot. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying floors from water damage when installed over concrete, but it’s also perfect over wood subfloors.
