I purchased the Soundcore Boom 2 by Anker for outdoor activities, and it’s been an excellent speaker so far. The sound is loud and clear, with strong bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. It performs really well outdoors, whether at the beach, backyard, or park. The build feels solid and durable, and it’s easy to carry around. I also like that it’s water-resistant, which makes it less stressful to use outside. Battery life has been very reliable. I’ve used it for several hours at a time, and it still had plenty of charge left. Pairing with my phone was quick and stable. Absolutely amazing 👏 I had a little Anker soundcore 2 and it was great, been working for years, great battery. But I wanted something louder and I figured if I lived that product so much why not buy from the same brand? The other one was good quality and long lasting, even took it in the pool with me a few times. This Soundcore Boom 2 the loudest and heaviest bass booming speaker I've ever owned!! Very impressive! The sound is actually pretty good. Highs are crispy without being overbearing, mids are robust, and it's got all the bass that you want from a bluetooth speaker. It rivals or is superior to its much more expensive competitors at half the price. It's fairly large though, a huge piece of plastic. That handle is built into the device and isn't removable and it's a lot larger than it looks in the picture. It will not fit easily into a backpack. ... show more

The bass on the speaker is so incredible. It hits low notes perfectly, and even with the bass mode turned off. It’s still really bumpy. It has a lot of kick to it. It easily fills up my entire living room, which is huge by the way, and it gets so loud for its size this is well worth your money and I would recommend this. This speaker is my first mini boombox and I gotta say, I can't wait to own the rest of the boom series because this series has to be one of THE best budget speaker lines to ever exist. It's battery life is phenomenal, and has lasted me 2 days or more with one charge. And despite only being 80 watts, it has booming bass you can feel, especially if you use it as a soundbar if your TV is Bluetooth compatible. The bass is powerful without muddying/drowning out the rest of the audio elements be it the highs, mids or what have ya. Then, there's the soundcore app which just takes this speaker to levels one couldn't think possible and have it compete with party speakers/boomboxes 1.5x-3x the price. One great feature of the app is it also gives you access to a community of fellow audio enjoyers that help you find the right eq mix for your Boom 2 or other soundcore devices. And it's an added bonus that it's waterproof and can double as a power vank to keep the party going. 2 minor complaints I can give it is the flap on the back to access the ports sometimes doesn't want to budge (all thought by design to keep the speaker water proof), and the lack of carrying case/strap to add more portability to it. ... show more
