My back feels a lot better with this elevating my laptop to almost eye level. Typing while it’s elevated is awkward, so I’m planning to get a mouse and keyboard to make that easier. Not really designed to be readjusted regularly, like switching between sitting and standing. If that’s important to you then expect to pay a little more. This tablet and laptop stand does the trick with two issues. The first one is that it's kind of hard to tell when the nuts are tight enough. Once they are tight they tend to stay in place. The second issue is that my copy of this item came bent. The plate that actually holds the device is bent so the device cannot sit flat. Ironically, the metal is thick and very sturdy so it's difficult to bend back into place. I would recommend this item although mine is funky. ... show more

Purchased used from the Warehouse in Very Good condition, saving $2.50 from list. Overall happy. This is a bare bones laptop stand made from single layer, relatively thick sheet metal (1/16"), except for the arms which are thicker (1/8"). Very hefty in terms of weight. Finish is durable (powder coat?) as opposed to paint that can scratch easily. Positioning of height and angle is achieved by friction of the bolts which have plastic washers to allow angling. There is a socket wrench included for adjustment. Supposedly this comes assembled. I did notice that the bolts/hardware were installed improperly. The flat head of the bolts should face out, the nuts facing in - giving it a clean, minimal appearance when looking from the side. Mine had the nuts facing out, which look clunkier, but more importantly, caused scratching of the inside edge of the center cutout due to the tips of the bolts obstructing the stand when fully collapsed flat for transport/storage. Guess that's why someone returned it. If you have similar problems with scratching, it is because the arm bolts were not properly installed. ... show more
