  • Easy to install in dash - Watch out on the electrical
Style: SDC26B With CD
The unit was easy to put in the dash and it sounds great. There were several good youtube videos to guide us through that part of the install. The electrical connection, however, was not clear in any of them. Also, each car model has multiple options and each may have a different wiring configuration. I suggest taking it all apart and then looking at the actual connector block in your car. Then, go to Crutchfield's website to pick the right adapter. Yes, that means you will have your dash opened up for a couple of days until the adapter arrives but that's better than having open for a week while you buy different adapters that don't work/fit. ... show more

  • Great deal for how little the cost ;-)
Style: SDC26B With CD
My rating so far, is somewhere better than GOOD (4-star), but can not give it an EXCELLENT (5-star) without more time. Was a little bit of a hassle to install and match up wiring harness connections, but unless you do this or a living there has to be a few surprises....right? Just from the get go, the sound is more dynamic. Have not had a chance to configure the Equalizer settings. I mean how can you compare a receiver that sells for < $50 bucks? Drawbacks......the iPhone utilizes the BlueTooth connection rather than via direct connect using a USB cable. Has always been my experience that BlueTooth lacks something when playing back audio. The other is having to utilize the remote to set basic settings. Oh well, guess I just have to CRANK IT UP. Happy Motoring!!!! ... show more

  • Great product with few downsides
Style: SDC26B With CD
I bought this and had my sisters car-savvy boyfriend install it for me because he's done 100s in his line of work. I tried to do it myself to my 1997 Mercury Tracer with an aftermarket face plate and I couldnt figure it out. If you have any remote idea of what you're doing, you'll be great. He said that the wiring was all there and the sound quality in my car is great now. The bluetooth option has changed the way I drive. The only problem I have is you cant dun or turn off the backlight which is blue and the sound bars move up and down too, so driving at night is a bit annoying. ... show more

  • Best I Ever had
Style: SDC26B With CD
LOVE IT!!!!! changes different colors or can adjust to just one how ever one wants. I'm that type of person that doesn't like to read the instructions and just do it myself and let me just say it was easy to install and to put as I want. The thing that I love the most is that its very cheap and it has so many abilities, like when my baby is sleeping I can put the sound all to the front that way it wont disturb him all just real simple on the screen. Also like that I can put movies for him like when we have to wait in the car he just sits there entertained. The Bluetooth is very helpful as well I don't have to get my phone out when driving I can get my calls and listen to music and hear my navigation and get all that done by just the stereo. I really recommend this product to many not only for my reasons but for all the other reasons ... also might end up getting one for my sister for Christmas since she really wants mine. lol ... show more

  • A good radio, but could be better.
Style: SDC26B With CD
Remote has a narrow field of transmission and must be almost directly in front of the receiver, and remote buttons are difficult to depress. All wiring had to be connected and "hardwired" to the loom coming from the back of the radio. Some of the installation processes had to be figured out as they were not addressed in the installation instructions. For instance, there is a collar around the head of the radio, and it had to be removed before it would fit into the dashboard. The instructions did not mention it. Also, I am not sure of the strength of the AM band. It receives my local oldie station very poorly. I still like the radio, and would probably do it again, even considering it's weaknesses. ... show more

  • Bluetooth ability failed
Style: SDC26B With CD
I installed this on my boat and really like it. I have my playlists on a USB stick. I can play my antique CDs and I used to be able to pair it to my phone to play those lists and Spotify. Two days ago the bluetooth function stopped working. I've tried power on and off, resets, reconnecting, but nothing is working. I really liked this feature and used it a lot. What a shame. Using the remote unit I found I have to be almost in front of the radio - being at an angle and the unit doesn't pick up the signal. ... show more
