  • Under $200 bucks for 2500W of Pure Power.
First and Foremost, I'd like to say that I have always bought high end audio equipment. The amp I had in my vehicle before this one was a $500 Amp, and it was 1800W. Unfortunately, someone decided to steal just my amp and not my woofers, so I wasn't completely crap out of luck. I decided to turn to Amazon for a car amp, something I had never considered doing before, even though I use this site for practically everything. I had thought to myself "hmm, they usually have cheap as hell prices on items that I may not have heard the brand, but the quality is there, and the other user reviews definitely help." I'm sure there is an amount of bad stuff on here, but when you read reviews, much like this one, you learn a lot about how the products operate, because they are written mostly by people like you and me. The other reviews on here sum it up, it runs cool! It pounds. I have it hooked up to 2 Alpine Type R 12" DVC Woofers. The power is definitely there, and the cutout safety works every time. I listen to a lot of dubstep and even with this much power between the amp and the subs it still kicks off the safety. You have to turn your deck off and on to get it to kick in again. The nifty little thing (although I could see it as being a downside to some people) is that it comes with a control knob you can mount on your dash board that allows you to turn your subs up or down. It never turns them down all the way, but if you're getting cutout at some songs you can turn them down to avoid the issue and then turn it back up when it needs that extra kick. I've haven't blown a fuse as of yet and I've owned this thing for over three months at this point. All in all, a lot of power for a sliver of the price! Excellent buy. ... show more

  • The Biggest Bang for Your Buck
Style: 3000 Watt Monoblock
I know an amp in this price range is not a true non-clipping 3,000 watts, but it's probably the best one I have ever bought. It seriously pounds my single 12" Alpine R12. I have both coils connected at 2 Ohms, the signal response is clean with a beautiful excursion, and gives you a back massage while changing the way you breathe. Boys and girls... it's gooooood. It's Gucci. I don't know how long it will last, but I am running 4 guage to it off of a 1,000 amp battery, and have a factory 94 amp alternator. I haven't been able to drive it yet with it yet, so I don't know if I need a cap yet, but strongly considering getting a 2 farad capacitor. The lights started dimming on the hard hits, but the battery was dying. When I put it on the charger, the lights were fine with a 75% load. The amp never went into protection mode at any point; it handled everything I threw at it for 45 minutes straight, and was still cool. I'm getting ready to prepare the mounting area for it at the back of the trunk. If anything changes, I'll update my review. The sub is getting over 800 watts RMS out this little guy. It's quite impressive. I'm going to do an SPL test later as well. TIPS: Do NOT turn everything up to the highest level on your amp unless you want it to have a very short life; It's not necessary. You also need to use the settings on your receiver too to help with the output. Later, I'll send a picture of how mine is set. It may not be right for you, but it is never right for anyone to max everything out. I have this paired up with a Kenwood KDC-501. ... show more

  • Beast
Style: 5000 Watt Monoblock
First off this is a beast!! I have it hooked to 2 12inch kicker comp Rs and it hit hard as hell! BUT I lost a lot of power due to this amp, I upgraded my altinator from 105amp to 145amp I run 0gage wire and a 5ferid cap and my truck had shut off in the middle of the hwy! But this amp fried the other day I smelled something burned and looked in my rear view and saw smoke!! I felt the amp and I could cook a steak on it! I disconnected ground and rode with windows down as it was 23 outside and cooled it down! I then hooked it back up and within seconds it was hot as hell again!! Most likely fried for life!! But very good amp!! ... show more

  • Easy to hook up great sound
Style: 1500 Watt Monoblock
Once I had the wiring done on inside of car, the amp itself only took maybe 10 minutes to connect and I’m an Amateur. I have extensive knowledge on wiring and cars but amps I do not but it was super easy. This amp kicks pretty good too. When bass hits I can feel my hair wiggle. This is actually my second review because I wanted to see how it was a few months later and I still love this little amp. I drive 180 miles each day to work and back and I use every bit of the power this amp can push and never once had I had a problem. During the really hot months I installed 3 cooling fans just in case because it is enclosed. I didn’t really need to. I have it set with thermostat which is set at 90 degrees and it kicks in minimal so the amp runs on the cooler side. Like I said it’s not 1500w but I’d bet it’s running around 350-500w which is plenty enough to feel it while the neighbors hear it too I plan on buying another one for my other car after winter here ... show more

  • Stays cool under pressure.
So I just installed this amp in a 2011 KIA SOUL and it drives 1-12 in. Pyle 2000 Watt DVC at 2ohms per voice coil in a sealed 2ft cubed box. This amp is "NICE" it has a good look, clean finish and sounds great. I have the gain set around 3/4 and the low pass set around 160 hertz. Boy we just ran it for 2 hr. strait on our way to the cabin and let me tell you it got ran loud and hard with every thing from rock to rap and so on ect... When we got there I wanted to see just how hot it was after all that and I could hold my hand on it as long as i liked no problem. I have had some other products in the past you could fry an egg on but not this amp it is one cool customer. In short if you need a good, fair priced, clean sounding amp for your low end reproduction I would wholly recommend this to any of my friends/family or anyone who likes a lot of BASS. P.s. there are pics posted of the install I did on amazon under the SSL/Evolution 2500 amp as well as under the 12 in. Pyle 2000 watt 2 ohm DVC sub. ... show more

  • shut's on and off during play.
Style: 1500 Watt Monoblock
When playing this amp it sometimes works and then it shuts down, but power light is still on. The bass fades in and out at times. I bought this amp in June; however, it wasn't installed until OCT 22, 2022. Now it's pass return time, so I'm stuck with a defective amp. It was professionally installed. I wanted to see if I could get a replacement. I don't want my money back. I need a decent amp. ... show more
