Before I invested in a sound system, I read all the reviews on Amazon for several different products. This one had mixed reviews but was at a good price point for me so I decided to try it. It was easy to install with the optical connection, although I would really have preferred an HDMI cable connection. The Optical cable is not long at all, so from where I had to install it on my television to where it plugs in on the sound bar, I had limited choices as to where I could place the soundbar. The same thing with the subwoofer. It connected via a very short cable and I had limited options to where I could place the subwoofer. This was for an apartment so I have to be strategic where to place the sound system so not to bother the neighbors when watching TV overnight. It did connect fast although the instructions being in so many different languages and the font being tiny, were very confusing to figure out just exactly what I needed to do-which was basically nothing. I had static from the sound bar which was noticable when listening at low sounds. The seller reached out and helped to fix the problem! It sounds great now! Well-rounded and compact sound option. I initially purchased this to use as a wireless speaker for a turntable, but ended up using it for my PC instead. Sound is full-bodied and has minimal delay. For the price point, it has an average range of customization for your sound preferences. My only complaint is that at lower volumes, there's obvious static when sound is coming through, as well as a low background static at all times it's turned on. Pros: + Good choice for price. + Small footprint and easy to mount. + Good volume range and sound quality at mid-to-high volumes. Cons: - Obvious static at lower volumes and when not playing sound. - Remote quality and pick-up range is about what you'd expect from a budget option. - Bass/Sub volume controls feel like they're more restrictive than what the subwoofer should be capable of. ... show more

Wow! This is a great value, I mainly got it because I wanted a dedicated sub-woofer and boy does this unit deliver. Bass that shakes the room and loudness doesn't distort or crackle the sounds. The one con I came across is it can only pair bluetooth to one device at a time (and you have to unpair to connect to another), but for my situation I make use of the AUX for my PC and bluetooth for my TV so its perfectly suitable as long as you don't plan on switching it between more than 2 or 3 things often. this soundbar is by-far best value for quality item i have purchased in general. specifically for the quality of audio and bass of this soundbar i will compare it to my jbl bar 2.1 that is also a device i greatly enjoy. simply put, this is just a less powerful version of that soundbar. the bass notes are crisp and the spoken content is very clear. i chose this setup for my home office because i wanted something small and it fits perfectly. if you want to use it for your tv it will still be much better than the factory audio on the tv itself. the only con - when using the aux cable you here static in the background. haven't tried the optical cable yet. ... show more

For the price this little system cannot be beat! Having a small apartment I just wanted something to play music on slightly bigger than a standard Bluetooth speaker. I have only turned volume up halfway and I'm already worried of a noise complaint! This lil system packs a punch. Not the best sound quality, remember how much you're spending. But if you're looking for something with bass, and volume, for cheaper, this is the way to go. Set up took 5 mins, without reading anything anywhere but on the unit itself. I didn't read it mentioned in the description but the unit has independent subwoofer control so you can tune the bass to your taste. I wanted a speaker to connect to my Xbox 360 via optical output. The speaker and subwoofer work amazingly whenever I play games but it's really lacking when I play Netflix and YouTube. There is a barely audible static noise when playing movies, which it doesn't bother me too much if I have the volume on low but when I turn it up even a little bit, it really bothers me. Not to mention the lack of ability to play Digital Dolby, which almost all formats use these days so I can't play DVDs but to be fair I'm at fault for not fully reading the description. I really like this speaker set when playing video games, the sound is amazing for the price. I'm just really disappointed in the static sound when playing Netflix and YouTube. ... show more

Edit: The seller contacted me and offered to ship me a replacement at no extra cost. It works perfectly just like the original one did when I first got it. Original review: I have had this product for 11 months and suddenly it is super quiet. If it was on a scale of 1-10 it now only goes up to a 3 out of 10. I’ve never listened to anything at full volume on it because the sound quality was GREAT! But suddenly, it’s not. Waste of money if it has to be repurchased every year (sometimes I’ll go weeks without even using my TV so honestly it’s not even had a full 11 months of use). ... show more
