I had a big bash planned for my friend's birthday, and I wanted to make sure that the party was extra special. I came across these lights while browsing online and decided to give them a shot. I mean, who doesn't love a disco ball, am I right? When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy they were to set up. All I had to do was plug them in, turn on some music, and let the party begin! The lights were incredibly bright and colorful, and they even had different modes, so we could change up the vibe throughout the night. But here's where things get really interesting. As the night went on and we all got a little bit crazier, we started experimenting with the sound-activated feature. And let me just say, it did not disappoint. The lights synced up perfectly with the music, and we all felt like we were in our own little dance club. We were all so impressed that we started taking turns controlling the lights with the remote, which led to some hilarious moments. Let's just say that our dance moves were...interesting. But the real magic happened when we turned off all the other lights in the room and let the party lights take over. It was like we were in a whole new world - we were all so entranced by the swirling colors and patterns that we ended up dancing for hours on end. Overall, I'd give these lights a solid 4 out of 5 stars. They were easy to use, incredibly fun, and definitely brought a new level of excitement to our party. The only downside was that they were a bit noisy, but honestly, who cares when you're having that much fun? Speaking of dancing, let me tell you about the Halloween party we threw with these lights. We transformed our living room into a spooky dance floor, and the lights made it even more eerie and fun. We switched to the mode that had the flashing red lights, and it was like we were in a haunted house. Everyone was dressed up in their costumes, and the lights made the atmosphere all the more fun and exciting. Another thing I loved about these lights was how versatile they were. We used them for everything from dance parties to karaoke nights to movie nights. They even worked well for more formal events like weddings and anniversary celebrations. We just switched to a different mode and adjusted the brightness accordingly, and they looked beautiful. One thing to keep in mind is that they do need to be positioned correctly to get the best effect. We experimented with different angles and distances and found that they worked best when they were positioned up high and aimed down towards the dance floor. But once we found the sweet spot, they were absolutely incredible. One more thing I forgot to mention - these lights are super durable. I've dropped them a few times (whoops!) and they still work perfectly fine. And even though they're small and compact, they pack a serious punch in terms of brightness and color. I understand most people who are looking into buying this product are likely planning to use it for parties. And for this, it's a great product at a great price (~$10 at the time of this review). However, I bought this product for my dog. My pup is obsessed with lights and shadows. It's difficult for me to work at home when all my little pup wants me to do is play with her. So I turn on her lights and she chases them around the room and I'm able to work in peace for a while. I do now have to clean paw prints off the walls, but worth it. She seems to be able to see all the colors but having all the colors dancing around the room bothers me. So, I have only the green lights on. I read another review that said the motor was loud. The motor does make a little noise but if you are having a part, I don't think anyone will hear it. I work maybe ten feet from it in a quiet house and I have to really listen to hear it. ... show more

I got this for my classroom, to add a little excitement on days when we need it. It's simply a plug in and turn on and go. There are a lot of options including color and pattern. For such a small item it casts a large field of lights. Add a little music and you have a party! The kids loved it.
