The media could not be loaded. It's not a high dollar reel but I am very impressed. I am running 6 lb brain (piscifun), ultra light ugly stick and using a little crappie jig. Bail is stiff but I like it, the spring feels pretty strong. I am very much a budget fisher, I do have a few lews, Penns, and abu rod/reel combos but to me this is just as good. It might not last 50 years like a penn but it's well worth it. Highly recommend it to anyone. Update: I have caught a huge variety of fish using this reel. It's paired with an ugly stick and still continues to impress me. I have caught a 20+ lbs longnose gar that actually set a river record and had no issues getting it in. I have purchased 4 different Sougayiling reels this year. This one is sturdy and seems as well built as my others. However right out off the box this one does not feel as smooth as my Megatron and the Ultralight. But still feels reasonably good. Smoother than the ones I was finding in <$80 range at sporting goods stores. Got the 4000 for 20 dollar range. Prices fluctuate on this. Have 8lb on it now for crappie, bream or whatever wants to bite. I am impressed enough I will be looking at more of their products. Reels smoother than my old shamino. I needed a small reel for my short lightweight rod. The reel is OK at best. The drag is wonky/touchy and the bail is very hard to close. You pretty much have to close manually as it won't close by cranking without significant effort to the point where you think you might break it because you're having to apply too much force to close the bail by cranking. Even my wife, who has fished only a few times in her life, said: "What's the deal with this reel not being able to close after casting? Any of the other 5 reels we have aren't like this.". I'll be replacing this one with a better, smoother operating one ASAP. ... show more
