I ordered 2 fly rod and reel combos. One set did not have reel. I reached out to the seller representative, Alisa. The level of customer service far exceeded "stellar". She was quick to reply and resolve. I am amazed with the performance of the product and customer service. The kits are rod to reel matched and are well thought out to include all the necessary items you need go straight to fishing. The carrying case is an added bonus to have all the gear together and ready to go. You never know when there may be an opportunity to get the line in the water. Don’t buy this combo. It’s awful!!! R.I.P. 05/19/21—-6/10/21 I bought it and it worked well enough the first time out. The next time out I noticed the reel was wobbling pretty bad. There was more than enough room for the line to escape past the enclosure for the spool. I emailed with the concern (5/28)and sent a video of the problem (5/29) to Sougayilan at their request and they agreed it wasn’t right (5/30)and said I would receive a replacement reel. Today as I was pulling line from the reel the rod snapped. See pics included with review. All I wanted to do was take the fly off the line and was pulling on it to get a little slack to work with. I’m still waiting for the replacement reel and now I have no rod to place it on. The quality is a joke. If you enjoy fishing like I did (and will again) don’t buy this. You will be upset when your day wetting lines is cut short because of this rubbish. Next stop….Orvis. Update: received my replacement reel. Unfortunately there is no line to re-string it. ... show more

New to fly fishing. I bought 2 of these so I would have a spare for anyone else to try it out. Upon receipt I inspected every part. No broken parts like some have experienced. Checked reels and both have drags that work. I got the green one and noticed the rod is different than rod that comes with other colors. Happy with the quality in both sets. ... show more

Bought this as a first time fly fisherman and am not disappointed. I wish their were better string tying instructions but overall it's a really nice setup and the reel is metal not plastic like other reviews have stated.
