I ordered the Sougayilang fishing reel as I prefer ultralight reels over larger reels for fishing. I have a mountain cabin that is close to a lake with a small fishing boat as well as a fishing kayak that I make use of on a regular basis. I was showing this reel to my father-in-law and he asked me how many bearing the reel has and was very surprised to hear that it has 12+ bearings and is extremely smooth reeling in testing. This reel is surprisingly hefty, I attached it to a little 3ft rod and put some 20lb braid on it for Fishing under bridges and in heavy mangrove forests where I only need to cast a few feet and the underwater conditions are sharp. It's a little champ, I was pulling up Sheepshead after a few casts.

This lightweight spinning reel offers a graphite frame. Graphite frames can take a big thump and you can still walk away smiling. Metal frames tend to crush and dent internal mechanisms. This reel is smooth and can be used for fresh and salt water. Not only does it feel smooth to operate, with its neon green and black colors, it looks ready to take on a tough trout. I've purchased other models of the Sougayilang line of fishing reels and they are all excellent for freshwater fishing. This model 2000 is no different. The instant anti-reverse is one of my favorite features. The reel spins very quietly and smoothly with no gear noise or grinding. The bail trips easily and the drag is easy to set. I love the fun color of this Sougayilang reel and feel its a good value for the money! The gears are smooth and respond well when tested, It can be set for right or left handed reeling and works well with 8-10 pound test. It's lightweight and has some nice action to it.
