For the price this thing works fantastic. It reels smoother than some of my more expensive reels. Although I don't use it as consistently as some of my other reels, when I do use it this reel works flawlessly. You cant beat the price-performance ratio.

I wouldn't even say for the price this reel is fantastic. I've fished many higer end reels from ABU Garcia to Daiwa to Shimano and I hate to admit, I've been wasting my money. These reels are fantastic! I now have 3 spinning reels and a fly reel from this company. The only downside I can mention is the finish isn't as durable as the main brands. If you're looking for a relatively cheap fishing reel I would highly consider trying these out.

I bought this for a extra rod that needed a reel. Reviews were good and I was curious how this BG knockoff would preform. I got the 4000 size. It's definitely smaller than a 4000 BG. Probably would have gotten the 5000 had I known. I'm running 15 lb braid. It's a bit noisy retrieving the braid, maybe mono would be less so. The drag is consistent and smooth under the pressure of a fish making a run. The drag adjustment has a small audible click, but compared to higher quality reels it takes more clicks to make a minor adjustment. The click is not real solid either. This feature would be well suited to novices who may overtighten the drag accidentally. Slightly annoying for experienced fishermen and women. The build itself it great for the price point. Bearings are smooth and the handle is comfortable. Durability in a saltwater environment remains to be seen. I rinse my reels every trip. This one had been rinsed probably 8 times and is fine. Even if parts aren't available and it's just a use till it breaks situation at $30 or so I won't feel terrible about trashing it and buying a new one after a few years of service. Overall good value for the money. Would recommend for your spare rod collecting dust in the garage or gift for some just getting into fishing. If your serious about upgrading don't buy the knockoff, get the real thing.

My line got stuck in the Skyway Bridge south pier at St. Pete Florida and this reel broke (see attached photo). I was beginning to like it and I just applied some gun oil in it because the rust is starting to build up. I just emailed the seller. I was asking the seller if I have a warranty on this reel. I am not really disappointed since the price is not that really expensive. I purchased two fishing rod and reel combos and a freshwater reel a few days before and after I purchased this item and so far none of those broke yet. Today 1/8/2022 I received a replacement as promised. I am updating my ratings to a five star since the seller is so kind enough to replace the whole reel and shipped it so fast. I will definitely buy more from this seller. I really like the name (Sougayilang) of this brand.

This reel is Good for lures and bottom fishing all the parts are replaceable .this reel also comes with a nice big cracks arm and handl and a extra line spool very smooth when casting and reeling. I don't write reviews but I will add on to all the other good reviews. Nice put together reel which I needed because I saltwater fish. I wanted to really put it to the test so filled it with 8# mono and it has been keeping up no issues at all pulling in fish from up to 120’ so far. This was the first of this brand reel I've bought and I have nothing but good to say about it. After pulling in the 2 mutton snappers back to back today I felt I had to say something

I've used this real for a few hundred lure casts and this brand has many critical design problems as follows... 1. It takes a significant amount of reeling force to reset the bale after a cast. Sometimes the spool just stopped and I had to either reverse the crank and try again or reset the bale by hand. Meanwhile, your lure is sinking to the bottom and looking for something to snag on while you fumble around with the bale. 2. There is a raised rivet on the spool that my line occasionally gets hooked under while casting. I lost a new Mepps lure when the line got hooked on it and cut the line. I also had to cut that piece of line off numerous times because the line gets damaged by the rivet if it doesn't snap altogether. 3. The anti-reverse switch is tiny, underneath the frame and very hard to find. I like to keep this switch off until I have a fish on the line but I have to take my eyes off the water and fumble around looking for it every time. My other reels have the switch on the side and are easily seen with a quick glance. 4. The spool diameter is way too small. This causes the line to curl and get tangled, 5. When I'm done fishing, I like to loosen the handle and flip it flat to prevent transporting damage. It takes an excessive amount of force and turns to do this. To tighten it back up, It feels like it is about to strip the threads. I strongly recommend against this brand and gave this piece of junk to my 10-year-old neighbor since he doesn't know any better yet.
