I had purchased spoons and lures from Sougayilang and was impressed with the quality. I use in both salt and fresh water. I purchased this TG 1000 reel to equip a spinning rod I recently built. I didn't want to spend a ton of money so did a lot of research on this reel and compared it to many others in its class. I figured for the price I would take the risk and order one. I am COMPLETELY delighted with the Souyayilang TG 1000. It has 14 ball bearings and is constructed of machined aluminum. The action is silky smooth and there were absolutely no defects. I used it first time yesterday, casting plugs, live bait, and hook and bobber. Its performance was flawless. I am so happy with this product that I am going to order one of their bait caster models for another salt water set up I am finishing. All good and thanks to Sougayilang for making great products. The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this reel! I have fished the old bait runner 6500’s and ambassadeur 6500’s and 7000c3’s and this one is 100% comparable. The clicker is incredibly smooth as you will hear scream at the end of the video. The resistance is the lightest I’ve seen yet and doesn’t backlash when a fast moving fish hits it. Just a wonderful reel. So good I had to write a review and upload a video.

Wore this reel out up at Leech lake in MN in some rough conditions and it worked great. Rear drag (which is what I bought it for) doesn't seem to do anything. The instructions that came with the 2 I purchased were wrong and don't even show or explain the rear drag. How do I get the correct instructions for this reel?

The media could not be loaded. This is a unique privilege, of which I’ve been given the opportunity to share a simple respectful, most generous offering on behalf of such a gracious company. I have had the opportunity to go and use a particular product from this company. The fishing reel was really at its best and performance, until the handle broke on it which was the knob itself. I returned home from the fishing trip and took a few minutes to think about where I purchased it and had considered purchasing a replacement part. I notified the company which was Sougayilang Fishing Reel Company, and the wonderful people responded in such a prompt manner, and replied with such graciousness to inform me that they indeed would not only replace the part but they decided to grant me a brand new fishing reel. To make it even better they also wanted me to keep the defective reel as it was just only a small thing that had been broken. I would like to take this time to share an experience that I have never witnessed with my own eyes. With such a great company of its magnitude to take the time to say not only good things, but to share its heart, with me was most appreciated. There have been opportunities that I would not like to share or compare other companies because now this company stands atop and alone in it’s wonderful response to me as a person and now they have earned my respect, to share this company with all of my fishing colleagues. Did great first use, but…… Second use the baitfeeder switch failed to kick off when turning the handle. Caused a huge snarl in my line. Had to set hook and hand pull in a 13 pound catfish. Now I have to remember to flick it off with my finger before I can set the hook. Update: the company has sent me a replacement reel. We’ll see if this one is going to last. Update: so far, so good. This one seems to not be defective…… yet.

Piece of junk. I have bought other reels from them and they were fantastic. But this one must have been made by someone else The spare spool will not even fit on it and fell apart. Does not reel smooth. Will stick with the other purchases that I have made with them. I will not buy this one again. Edited to add. Contacted the company they are making it right. Sending new one will test and update review. Update 9/3/19 Company stood by what they said and the replacement they sent works great. They stand by thier word and provide service. I have 5 of their reels of other models and all are of good quality and work great. I am now a loyal customer of theirs. Great service great word.

This is a really nice reel. As are all of their Reels that I have purchased. I did have an issue initially with my first reel. However, the seller was great and we were able to identify the issue. I was sent a replacement and it has been wonderful so far.
