    • Good first lightweight drone, doesn't need phone to fly. Video could be better.
I would rate the drone a 4 star because it is fast and light and can do cool flips (with the 360 degree button). On the other side it's so light that wind can blow it around. The drone doesn't have stabilization software so it is hard to stabilize it in the wind. You can take videos at about 4 frames per second and the app shows you on a phone in real time. Its a big pain to connect a phone to the drone. The pictures and videos are saved on the phone and not on the drone. There are only two batteries with chargers and the batteries run for a several minutes. The batteries and the drone itself are very light, especially compared to a Mavic Air. The manual is hard to understand but eventually you can figure it out. My kids say it's loud, but it's not bad to me. It does come with some flimsy guards, just in case it hits something it doesn't break a blade. The controls are intuitive for the most part. On the right a joystick for movement and the left is for turning. If you press the 360 degree button and then use the right joystick in a certain direction you will flip in that direction: So if you press the 360 button and then press forward, it will do a front flip. If you press the 360 button and go backwards then you will do a backflip, and the same for left and right. That's probably the coolest thing it can do that my Mavic cannot. The startup sequence for take off was tricky, but my kids were able to read the manual and get it flying pretty easily. ... show more

I am with the other reviewer who is more experienced than I am with drones. I had a problem being able to control this drone. First of all, the auto takeoff/hover feature did not work at all for me. It is supposed to take off, elevate, and hover at 5 feet..A good starting point to start your flight...It did nothing. The blades spun up and the drone stayed grounded...ok..I;ll try something else, so I elevated the drone manually...it elevated fine but also rapidly flew forward in spite of me not moving the joystick to go forward or in any direction. I calibrated the thing and am sure I did everything right. It was not windy out UPDATE: I see what happened. The button for quick takeoff is labeled wrong in the main user manual but is labeled correctly in Quick Start guide. I contacted the manufacturer and they were quick to respond with some good advice, so good on them Bottom line is that flying these very lightweight drones takes practice. I would say this drone would make an excellent starter drone. I didnt get around to using it with the app yet. Hope this review helps out. ... show more

    • Great Beginners Drone
This is a great beginner's drone. It comes fully assembled. It's ultra lightweight and portable. It's very stable to fly around but it can't handle a bit of wind. It does not have any stabilizing software or its not strong enough to go against the wind. It comes with a case, and extra blades. It hovers very well indoors not like other drones which is very hard to stabilize. It's very cool to fly around the park or backyard. The blade protectors are very fragile that it broke easily bumping to walls or crashing. I did download the phone app and paired it by connecting to its own Wi-Fi. At the end i just used the manual controls to play with it. Overall, this is a good beginner's drone which everybody will enjoy. ... show more

Ordered this for my daughter, as she wanted to get into drones. This is a nice little starter drone. Kit comes with everything you need to get started. Also includes two batteries. Setup is very easy and the app seems to work pretty well (iOS). The drone is small and very light weight. Works very well indoors. Outside, even a slight breeze will move it around, but it can be done. The automated routines like flip, 360, and headless mode are pretty cool. As others have mentioned, the drone tends to drift when first powered on, but the trim tabs on the controller work well to dial everything in. Only downside is that the trims seem to reset when powered off, so you have to retrim every time. Biggest complaint is battery life, especially outdoors. When flying in a slight wind, battery only lasted about 3-4 minutes. Luckily, they include two batteries. Overall very pleased with this drone and would definitely recommend for anyone looking to try out a new hobby. ... show more

I have yet to master controlling the drone but it has been fun. The picture quality is surprisingly good and the battery last a while too.

    • A bit dissapointed
I will say the drone is not bad at all. It does seem to be well built and the app and controller are easy to use. Quick setup instructions as well as a full owners manual is included. What I will say on the negative side is this: I have flown many drones and have one of the nicer ones on the market. This one was more difficult to get up and going with the auto launch button than any I have ever seen. I tried calibrating the gyro several times as I suspected that might be the cause of my trouble but it just wouldn't work right. The drone would launch and go to the correct altitude but would just immediately take off in any which direction and I would have to force it to land and try again. After many tries I was finally able to get it to hover by pressing the joystick all the way in the opposite direction as it was trying to go. I finally got it calibrated enough to where it was flyable but when I brought it down to change batteries it did the same thing again on the next flight. I am almost positive this unit just has a bad part, because everything else worked as it should once I finally got over that initial hurdle. I am going to reach out to the company and see if they have any suggestions or if they can do anything with it. I will update if I get a response. ... show more
