This was a lot of fun to build. I would say I used 5-6 hours to construct it off an on over about a month and I really enjoyed it. The pieces all fit together very well, and tight and the instructions were very clear. The tolerences on the pieces are all very good and I would compare the quality to the big brand that starts with L. In fact, I thought that I had lost a couple pieces and I was able to find replacements through the L website which I ordered to test compatibility. The L piece fit with this kit perfectly and the colors were a direct match. It turns out I had the pieces the whole time, but I had a spill and a couple of pieces were hiding out on the floor. The fact that this is motorized is also very cool. While it's really a bit of a novelty, it is really cool to see the parts moving. All in all, this seems to be a good value and a fun way to learn to follow complex drawn instructions. It was very fun to build. ... show more

Got this for my son- he loves building things. He has enjoyed putting it together. It was missing one part so far but he had the same piece from another technic set and used that. He said a few pieces were hard to assemble because they lined up slightly off but other than that he likes it.
