The media could not be loaded. The most important thing to know is that this device can be easily configured so that the buttons will 'trigger' a function chosen from the decent built-in options, from the myriad useful free downloadable extensions, and moreover the image you want to be displayed on that button's LCD screen will match and is customizable. Among the great applications for this are as an app "Launcher", multimedia controls, MIDI (for electronic music-making), I saw pre-built icon sets for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Primere, many professional video and photo editors as well as generic customizable options like keystrokes. I have never used a "Stream Deck" but a quick web search reveals that this is a popular product type introduced by other brands and sold at major A/V and Pro Audio/Video retailers for over twice the price (for similar functionality). I see that this product design mimics many of the similar products' exact design details which is helpful because the layout is well thought-out, intuitive, and feels surprisingly high-end for a sub-$100 product from a brand I've never heard of. It is not clear to me whether the software included is specifically made for this product, or if it works for all devices of this category, but I can confirm that within the included app you can easily open the 'app store' to download extensions - the extensions appear to be written for all products in this category (not for Soomfon specifically) so I was delighted to find that I was able to run the MIDI extension instantly upon (free) download; similar products specifically designed for control of audio recording equipment and software exist on the market but they're far more expensive, don't have nearly the depth of customization especially so far as the multi-color LED graphics on each button (nicest touch!). Plus the two small endless encoders and the big 'jog wheel' style endless encoders? These endless encoders can click too! I haven't experimented yet with how the clicking functionality can be configured for use in the app, it didn't seem as robustly supported as the graphic-laden buttons. At first I was a little disappointed that the device is made of lightweight plastic for this price - but it doesn't seem especially flimsy so perhaps it'll hold up if treated well. I really appreciated the good manual, easy download of the Mac app, built-in cable has both USB-A and USB-C type ends for maximum compatibility. I find it encouraging that the company has made an effort to ensure customers have their customer support contact info readily available (there's a sticker on the unit itself, and its all over the manual plus included small paper).

Pros: Easy to set up Software didn't get flagged as malware like others have in the past Software is easy to use All buttons are very responsive Good value ($69.99 at time of order/review) Cons: Only 6 buttons, 1 of which will get taken up by the "previous page" command if you make more than 1 page at a time, with no way to delete it. Knobs are *very* limited in what you can control with Not as many additional plug-ins available as other control decks I have use/still use, but that could change over time.

There's a lot to like about this little device. Sure, it doesn't have as many bells and whistles (nor support) as the "name brand" counterpart it has enough to make it compelling and useful. The buttons feel great and look good. I think the LCD panel they're using might actually be better than my name brand one. Good contrast and readability. Colors look pretty darn good, as well. Knobs feel good, though there isn't much support for the knobs in the software. You can change scenes, pages, volume, and brightness. You can also assign a standard keyboard or mouse event. I use the large knob for volume and the smaller ones for changing scenes/pages. Works great for that. The only catch is that you have to bind the same knobs on every scene/page if you want them to be the same functionality across the device. Easy enough to do, but I wish there was a way to say "always be volume" or "always change pages". There are a good number of plugins you can get from within the app. (And a whole lot of icons.) Lots of good ones for content creation, graphic apps, etc. I admit I don't know what half of them are, but I'm not a streamer I'm just "some guy". :) For what it is, I'd say it's a great value. If you don't need all the functionality of the more mature products (or if you're comfortable making your own plugins) I'd say this is a fantastic, inexpensive option. Given that you can bind knobs to keystrokes (and of course to the actual buttons) it makes it great for games like simulators. Honestly I love it and can definitely recommend it.

I recently picked up the Soomfon Stream Controller SE as a second addition to my setup, alongside a stream deck I already own from a more well-known brand. I wasn’t sure what to expect at this price point, but it turned out to be a very capable device. The build is lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy, and the six LCD buttons are bright, clear, and responsive. One of the biggest advantages for me is that this controller includes three rotary knobs, including a large jog-style dial. My other stream deck doesn't have native dials, so this has been a welcome feature that adds a lot of convenience for quick adjustments. Installation on my PC was simple, and the software made it easy to assign basic functions. I currently use the large dial to control system volume and have the buttons set up for copy, paste, and other common actions I use regularly in Microsoft Word. It has definitely improved my workflow for day-to-day tasks. However, one limitation I’ve noticed is that the device doesn’t show live status updates. That means the buttons can’t display the current state of things like mute toggles or system feedback, which could be helpful. I also haven’t figured out how to configure it for use with Zoom or Microsoft Teams, which would really round out its usefulness for remote work. Even with those small drawbacks, the Soomfon Stream Controller SE has become a valuable part of my setup. For under $100, it offers a lot of practical features and a high level of customization. If you're looking for a flexible, affordable control surface to boost your productivity or simplify your daily tasks, this one is well worth considering.
