I've been using this as my primary camera on Twitch streams for years now, and it's been a fantastic upgrade from webcams. The improved zoom, field of view, and depth of field make a big difference. The best feature is how well the autofocus works when you bring something close to the screen, perfect for unboxing videos or product reviews. I only wish the zoom was a little bit stronger, and that the battery lasted a little longer (or that it had a built in provision for wall power) for long live streams. Great camera, but ultimately returned for another

This is a great camera, but was returned for 2 issues I had: The biggest issue was that the hotshoe is a cold hotshoe, meaning you can't attach any type of flash, and there is no built-in flash. Second, and less important, it has no view finder, making shots in bright daylight impossible to compose. These items are both fairly well documented if you read and research carefully, they just turned into more of a problem than I expected. Finally, it doesn't provide raw images, so you are forced to accept what the camera thinks is the best processing. This probably isn't a problem for most people looking at this camera as the JPGs and scenes do a great job 95% of the time. Use it in good light (not too dark, not too bright) and you won't be disappointed in the image quality. I did return the camera for the similar Sony with the working hotshoe. ... show more

I’ve been using the Sony ZV-1F for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really happy with it! As someone who makes content for YouTube and Instagram, I wanted a camera that’s better than my phone but not overly complicated — and this hits the mark. The image quality is excellent, especially in good lighting. The colors are vibrant, skin tones look natural, and the 20mm wide lens is perfect for vlogging or talking to the camera handheld. It gives a nice wide frame without distorting my face, and everything stays in focus thanks to the eye-tracking autofocus. Audio quality is surprisingly good — I haven’t even needed to use an external mic yet. The built-in microphone does a great job, and the windscreen included in the box actually works well outdoors. One of my favorite things is how simple and intuitive everything is. The touchscreen controls, the flip-out screen, and quick menu options make filming feel easy and even fun. It’s also very lightweight — great for travel or filming on the go. That said, there are a couple of downsides. Since the lens is fixed, you can’t zoom in optically, which limits how flexible it is for different shooting styles. Also, low-light performance is just okay — indoors or at night, the footage can get grainy unless you use extra lighting. And the stabilization is only digital, so walking shots can look a bit shaky unless you’re careful. But honestly, for the price and what it’s built for — quick, casual, quality content — it’s fantastic. If you’re a beginner, solo creator, or just want a step up from your phone without breaking the bank, the ZV-1F is a great choice. ... show more

Zvif is a gateway camera

I've had this camera for 2 months and it's cool. I'm a beginner vlogger and this was in my price range. I think camera quality is soooo integral when creating content that attracts and I must upgrade to one of the Sony fx for Christmas. I'm saving just for the camera. I want to do a documentary soon.
