Love these headphones. I ordered them instead of another popular brand was said to be very uncomfortable and I wanted something with lots of bass as I listen to hip-hop/rap exclusively. Comfort- Very comfortable, they made my ears hot at first but they don’t anymore. I’ve been wearing them 5-6 hours a day with no problem. Sound- I’m not a audiophile so I can’t be very technical about mids and treble and stuff but I can say they sound great and have PLENTY of bass, it can be adjusted to have even more bass. Great for rap songs. Battery Life- Haven’t tested these too much yet. They arrived 70% charged and I used them all day and they only went down to 50%. Charged them for about 1.5 hours and they were at 100%. Will update later after testing fully. Durability- Can’t speak on this yet as I’ve only had them a few days but if they’re anything like my cheaper Sony headphones they should last a long time. I will update in a few months. Wireless Range- Another thing I haven’t tested fully but I can leave my tablet on the couch and go out on the porch or to my room which is 35-40 feet. No quality drop or interruptions. Noise Cancellation- These are not ANC headphones but they do block out most sound like people talking or watching TV in the same room. Overall I love these headphones so far. Super glad I chose them over the $130 competitors. Also you can tap the power button once when on and it will tell you the battery percent. ... show more

researched until i was mental. lol.. love these so far. of course, great bass!, love the EQ app! light yet sturdy feel, sound is really beautiful! Only issue is that while walking, i can hear the wind but i'm getting used to that part. they have a partially open build i suppose for the bass pumping speakers. Battery life is strong. great material feel. ear muffs and soft and mostly comfortable. i can adjust the sound for hip hop or rock or any other type of music. high quality wires. the look is not interesting like some brands, it's very minimal, basic black but it does look good. these are rated better than Bose or Beats. there's a lot of talk about noise cancelling. i've felt better noise canceling but it's really not that important to me. to me, it's got enough and is rated high for noise cancelling. ... show more

I prefer over the ear headphones, but while these are a bit smaller, they fit on the ear very nicely. There is no loss of sound quality due to size. Noise cancellation is solid. I love the APP which allows you to configure sound levels to your liking. Battery life is amazing. I literally can go for days without charging. Charging cord that comes with it is really short so that was a negative for me, but other than that, I can’t imagine anyone who purchases these headphones coming away with a feeling like they made a poor decision. I paid $44 dollars for mine, cause of “damaged packaging” I dunno what crack this particular NJ Amazon Warehouse was smoking but I got a brand new pair in an unopened box. That said, the build is a little cheaper than expected for the actual price tag. They feel solid enough but the plastic still doesn’t heel premium at all. The mini cable is one of the nicer, better built ones I’ve seen in box. Bluetooth set up is easy, but I wouldn’t bother with the app unless you wanna use Alexa or adjust the bass level. They sound pretty good but I was actually disappointed by the bass of all things. The whole dynamic range falls just short of amazing and lands in very enjoyable. They’re also much larger than I expected and aren’t quite as stealthy as I’d have liked. I definitely wouldn’t pay full retail but if you can find em for 65 or less Id say jump on it. ... show more

3 years later and still great bluetooth headphones. Ive replaced the pads once with aftermarket ones after they started to deteriorate. Great sound quality, battery life. The app is annoying though

Great headphones which served me very well those last 6+ years! The faux leather on both earpads has detached from the base, exposing the yellow foam underneath. This foam now soaks up all the sound and even on max volume the sound level is quiet. Otherwise, the headphones have been used frequently over years with different devices and with good comfort. Connectivity was sometimes spotty but nothing too major; wish there was a simple way to manage multiple connectivity profiles (or I can just buy more headphones). Time for an upgrade. ... show more

I got these renewed for $49.99 and they sound incredible. My old MDR-X950N1 hinges broke on the right side since I had those for about three years and these even without Noise Cancellation they sound good and loud. They did pair up with my Pixel 4A perfectly and I did got the Sony Music App for the updates which the older headphones has no updates but at least those went around my ears but these are very light which is perfect since the older ones felt like a pound on top of my head. My only problem there is no lights to tell if they are on, only when they get paired and that's it. I do like it that the custom button is for my Google Assistant to read me my notifications. This is a lot for a budget bluetooth headphones and like I said the sound is perfect in the mid the highs and not that heavy on the bass but its perfect for music. Its worth it by far ... show more

Big Sony fan, I’ve bought their products for over 30 years. Currently using the XB950BT, and any Sony fan can tell you this model WILL eventually break apart by the ear cups joint, so I was so looking forward to these XB-700 headphones to replace. Bought them when they went on sale for $99. Eagerly got them and synced to my iPhone. The bass HITS, there is no doubt about that. Nice and tight, not as muddy as the 950s, so that’s a plus. Downloaded the app. Very nice options so far, the ‘club’ option is my go to apparently. Turned up the volume. What, wait, it’s almost maxed out already? That can’t be right. Reread the manual and played with the settings and different music for hours. Still no louder than this? The XB950BT is so much more louder and I don’t even have to max out the volume on those headphones. I am not saying these are bad headphones, it just doesn’t get loud enough for me. I really wanted to love these new XB700s, imagine my disappointment as I packed it back into the shipping box and requested the return label. Taped up my XB950s some more and hope they’ll hold on longer, fingers crossed the upcoming XB900N will be better suited to my tastes. Sony, I hope you read this... ... show more
