I absolutely love these headphones. The noise cancellation works really well… It's very bizarre how when on an airplane, it will cut out all of the airplane noise so that you only hear your music, And it definitely lessons other sounds… like if a baby is crying on the plane, I can barely hear it and will still get some sleep while everyone else is annoyed and stress stressed out. I could faintly hear announcements on the plane, but if I'm asleep or have some ambient music on, I'm not waking up unless someone shakes me lol.. They're comfortable, easy to use, I love the touch feature for volume skipping songs and pausing so convenient when your mid airplane nap and just need to turn up the volume a little bit when the guy next to you start snoring. Arrived on time, the headphones had no scratches or defects nor the case, the sound quality is great and the ANC is the best I've heard yet. For some reason the headphones started turning off out of nowhere with a popping sound, I'm not sure if it's because they're refurbished or something. The touch control is very good, it connects fast, the battery life is the best I've used yet, they charge to full battery very fast, and they're very comfortable. Great bluetooth headphones. The sound is clear, crisp and relative accurate. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of noise isolation, even without using the available noise suppression action. I used public transit and they really suppress the external sounds even without activating their noise suppression. I would buy these again (or a newer version)! ... show more

Had these for 6 months, brought them with me on my first flight since getting them and 10 minutes after take off I felt the noise cancelling get weird, took me off and the right cup was dangling. I still can't believe it, I treated these things like delicate eggs and still somehow they broke, just wild. Got these after having only Bose before this, my last pair I'd had for 6 years with no issue and I took them everywhere without ever feeling they were fragile like with these Sonys. Regret switching and going back to Bose immediately. While they were in one piece I was impressed with their noise cancelling capabilities but had been bummed about their fit, always made the top of my head hurt. Had been figuring I'd probably go back but assumed they'd still last me several years. Uggh. ... show more

Don’t be afraid to buy renewed. Came in new condition and work perfectly, plus u get a 90 day warranty if they didn't. Sony probably has the best noise canceling technology which can really help u relax and is a godsend for travel. I have big ears and my ear actually fits in these (other headphones they don’t) which makes them much more comfortable and these are also probably the lightest headphones on the market. The case is big but it’s slimmer than foldable headphones cases which actually fit in my personal carryon on bag…better than a smaller and “fatter” case. Which is the only time I’d use a case. Audio quality is great. Pairs to two devices and controls are intuitive. What really separates Sony from others is all the little extras like adaptive noise canceling and ability to adjust ambient noise that gets filtered. Also has EQ adjustments which make a huge difference depending on what you’re listening to or if you’re watching a movie. I actually like the 360 format….for me it sounded a bit better but it’s not mind blowing. Are these the best headphones on the market….nope. But these are the best travel headphones and the best ANC headphones that have a more than satisfying sound quality. ... show more

I purchased the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless active noise-canceling headphones a few months ago and have been using it actively since then, and I must say, they have completely blown me away! From the moment I put them on, I was transported into a world of uninterrupted audio and unmatched comfort. These headphones are an absolute game-changer, and here's why: Price: Although they may cost a few hundred bucks, they provide top of the line wireless ANC quality without spending thousands. Design: Minimalistic yet intriguing design. I got the silver version which makes it pop out against my hair. My girlfriend absolutely loves the look of the headphone and will even wear it as if it's an accessory. Sound: I personally was expecting better quality but nevertheless the audio was still very good. The active noise cancellation really isolates you into your own bubble where you hear only what you are listening to. Comfort: Extremely comfortable since its over the ear. Soft yet firm ear muffs that cradles your ears. Battery: More than happy with the battery, I would go multiple days with 2-4 hours of use each day on a single charge. Sometimes I would even go over a week without needing to charge. Companion App: Nice companion app that has a ton of features.
