I was very impressed with this purchase and I am very pleased to say that the system is holding up just nicely almost a year later. I bought this product BRAND NEW for a very cheap price. Firstly, I am in love with the color and feel of this system. It doesn’t attract fingerprints easily and it is comfortable to hold after long hours of play. The battery life is also very sufficient as I can play a game constantly without it draining my battery too much and having to grab the charger. My system came with a charger that fit the US outlets despite it being a Japanese model. You should contact your seller if you are unsure, but I am fairly sure that they will replace it for you since it is labeled an IMPORT system. The PS VITA is not region locked so you can play games from any region as long as it is a physical cartridge. No need to worry about it not playing American games because I have 4 of them working just fine! The buttons X and O are swapped to work the opposite functions as to that of a US controller but you can swap this in the settings if you like. Personally, I didn’t do that because the US games will have you play it with the same functions you are used to in specific region games. Unlike the Nintendo Switch, you can only have one account logged in at a time. Based on your region settings, you will only be able to access the store with your country’s code. That means if you have a Japanese account, you can only access the Japanese store and buy digital Japanese games. If you buy an SD card, note that only one account can be attached to those as well. I recommend starting with 16 or 32 GB and buying physical cartridges since it saves a lot more space. If you are used to a Nintendo DS, The VITA is similar because it allows you to purchase themes on the store and arrange the icons to your liking. If you don’t want to purchase a theme, you can just change the color or download a picture. CAMERA quality isn’t that great, but it is expected from an older product. I doubt you will use this function much anyways. Good news is that a majority of games don’t require you to use it.

First off, It's definitely worth getting one of the colored models from Japan of the PS Vita Slim! All the colors are gorgeously vibrant and have a matte texture (unlike the standard black ones which are shiny fingerprint magnets). Plus they are more fun! Purchased mine brand new here on Amazon and it came in perfect condition. PROS: -Half the reason I got this was for compatibility with PSP and PS1 'Classic' which you can download directly to the Vita. I love my PSP, but its def convenient having it all in one! Plus most of them are pretty cheap on the PSN. -Great for Travel. I really wanted something to play while traveling or just on work lunch breaks (though I also play it at home a lot hahaa). The Vita slim is great for that and has tons of travel pouches and cases for protection. -There's a very large community of hardcore PSP and Vita fans. Including FB pages, blogs, and helpful YT buying guides. Please check them out! -There are LOADS of Vita games. More so because its region free and can play many PS1 and PSP games as I mentioned before. There's everything from old school RPGs to open world adventure games to shooters... I don't no why people say theirs "no games". -It plays FPS and open adventure games incredibly smoothly... just like on a console. So don't think this is just for simple, side scrolling games. -The console looks and feels premium. The screen alone is impressive for a little handheld. I will say, I am a female with dainty fingers and fits/plays nicely in my hands. CONS: -Vita games have been really hard to find physical copies of... I found a few used for $10 cartridge only. So you will have to go online if you want physical copies (like Amazon, Ebay or the Gamestop online store). Other than that you can download them directly from the PSN. -Now we get to those infamous memory cards... Sony made cards specific to the Vita, so you cant go out and set any mini SD card like with the PSP. They are STILL pretty pricey and you will find yourself having to put off buying more games as you run out of space on your current memory card. Good job Sony >:c That being said, Don't bother with the small 4-8GB cards. I got a 16GB and have a bunch of PSP, PS1, and few Vita games on it with still plenty of room. It will last you a good while. Get the 32-64GB only if you plan on buying and playing much of the Vita game library... or just have many for a bigger card. ... NOTE: Yes it is a Japan import, but the Vita is region free! You can set it to English at startup and when you sigh in to your PSN account it will get to that region. Only difference being the Select button on Japanese consoles is the "O" button while in the US it's the "X" button. So in the Vita home menu it will be "O", but if you play an American game it will be "X". Hope that makes sense. Its been virtually no issue to me and I've played for many hours.

I got a vita because I wanted something to sit and play on the couch while watching TV, or laying in bed, without having to sit with a laptop or something. I had a ps plus membership for a long time so vita was the natural choice so I can play the backlog of free games I accumulated. The screen is great on this, the games are fun, if a little targeted to teenage/family audience. PS1 support is limited to the what's in the store. The color is awesome... I almost chose the orange but the blue matches my other tech stuff so it ended up working out well. Battery life is great, I get 10hrs or more between charges. The buttons are a little smaller than I expected, but the system is light and comfortable to use (except the left stick placement feels a little odd.) I haven't tried it with a grip but ps4 streaming works very well over wi-fi or local system broadcast. PS3 streaming DOES NOT WORK so don't get this to play your ps1 discs through a ps3, which sucks, I was hoping to stream a few of my old discs but there's just no way to get it working. I also had a problem where the game Tearaway is unplayable when downloaded from the ps store, which may be a memory card issue but does not affect any of the other 50+ games I installed. Support is dying a little bit for this system, and the screen is small so it can be tough on older eyes, but the product is definitely worth picking up for a bit of portable RPG fun from time to time. If I had to do it again I'd probably just go for a $150 refurbished one, the price point for how much I've actually played this was probably a little high, but no regrets! Just make sure you know exactly what you're getting into when you get this, make sure you know you can't homebrew with a newer model, and make sure you are ok with the indie/jrpg games that the system supports the best, and this is a worthwhile system.

This is such a nice little system. The display is amazing. You can get apps like netflix and crunchyroll. Has loud and clear sounding speakers. But also has a head phone jack so the kids can watch in the car ride with out disturbing each other. You can surf the web with it! This system has so many games available! Alot of which are free due to playstation plus membership. Or my childs favorite service is ps now. You can link tgis to your ps3 or ps4 and use it as a controler. Oh and before i forget it does have a front facing and rear facing camara. On the down side skype is no longer available for the ps vita. Thats kind of a big deal but then again my phone skypes just as good. Also you cam down load compainion apps to this to use hand in hand while playing ps4. (Gta v i fruit app. Pip boy app) Not only that but you can also use it to message friends and party chat. Lets talk about the color. I ordered the blue one and dang is it pretty. Think like a mate blue that pops. The buikd quility is A+ its a playstation. Its built very well. There is an old saying "you get what you pay for" this device feels and workds like it should cost so much more. The only complaint i have it that it come with a memory card. Because it has to be a speacial playstation vita card. It should come with it. I would recomend to a friend and i would buy it again. I actualy just ordered another one for my sons birthday coming up on the 18th. Make sure to order a playstation vita memory card for it aswell.

Item was shipped from Japan. Long Shipping. Finally arrived. PSvita was in fair shape - screen free of scratches and some scratches on the backshell. Found that the joysticks were defective with stick drift on both. The seller did not mention this. Seller did mention that the charging cord, memory card, and persona 4 golden wound be included. This was not the case. All I received was the console. On top of the 183USD for the console, I had to spent an extra 20USD for replacement joysticks, extra 10USD for a cheap charger. And lastly, DO EXPECT to pay and additional 20USD for import fees as well. I expected the import fees. Though, every other discrepancy I have listed I had not expected.

The Vita itself came in pretty good condition and with a game already. However, the listing said it would come with a charging cable as well as a memory card and I didn’t end up getting either of those things. I’m happy with the vita and game but annoyed that I can’t even use my vita until I go buy a charger for it
