  • Great camera for beginner and daily snapshot.
Style: Camera only
This is great camera if you need a cheap price daily carry snapshot camera or as gift for someone don't have one. I order this camera for my parents as daily carry camera so they can capture some interesting photo of their daily life while I am not with them. They love it because they are not tech person, they not even know all the features on their smartphone. I spend 5 mins to reading manual and setup the camera 10mins to explain to them how to use. After one hour they are good to go with this camera. Pros: 1. Easy to use, nothing complicate on/off, shutter, zoom and menu button. 2. Super lightweight, maybe been use DSLR for while this camera just too lightweight for me, even lighter than my mobile phone. 3. Better than mobile phone quality picture (If you are mobile phone photographer NVM) 4. Good battery life. This will save some battery juice for my parents smartphone. Nothing is prefect there still something need to watch out. Cons: 1. Poor quality on the LCD screen. If you loading your photo to your computer it will look so much better than you check it on the LCD screen on the camera. 2. So lightweight mean sometime you can't get a stable shot 3. Menu language limitation there only few major languages are available not many choice as other model. 4. Video quality is kind of noise but still acceptable. Over all me and my parents both are happy with this camera. They can always carry a camera to anywhere they going now. I mean for this price range and the quality we got I am happy with it. Of course if you are look for better image quality and rich features camera, look for other this just good enough for daily snapshot, you have to pay the right price to get the right quality tool. ... show more

  • Even better than expected!
Style: Camera only
Totally pleased with purchase!! Comes with three chords that when all put together Can be used to charge in the wall outlet. Then one chord can be used to charge in the computer. And one cord for the car.Super easy to use. To set up the camera is very simple and easy to figure out which button is which. It comes with a battery but no memory card the memory card I had to buy separately but it was not expensive and for the price of the camera I was not expecting it.It takes just your regular general memory card nothing fancy. The only issue I had with it was the arm strap. Even in the instructions it did not say how to attach it and we have yet to figure that out. So if someone could help us that would be great. The feature that helps you to get a focused picture even when you’re shaking a little bit works great. The instructions are pretty much basic and simple and so you may need to find out more information about it online. It works best for outdoor pictures I think. And the zoom is A very nice feature. They have continued to improve it in the past few years. It is lightweight but it has enough body to it to hold it easily when taking a picture. If there is no charge to the battery it takes approximately an hour to an hour and a half to charge.I purchased this camera for the purpose of taking outdoor nature pictures for the cards that I sell. And I am very pleased with the camera and so far think it is going to work great for that purpose. I would recommend this camera to anyone who just want something simple but well worth it with great quality. ... show more

  • This is a very good camera!!!!!
Style: Camera only
It's an awesome camera, the picture and video quality is awesome!!! It's also very light weight and compact so you can move around with it in your pocket. The only thing which prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that the different photo capturing options have to be accessed through the menu so it took me some time to learn how to navigate it and adjust settings to my liking. Otherwise its a really good deal. ... show more

  • AWESOME, simple to use camera.
Style: Camera only
After much research, and debate on price.... I purchased this camera. I am an amateur photographer.... meaning I have children, and pets -and enjoy putting together large amounts of photo books. This is the very first digital camera I have owned - finally decided developing my 35 film was getting too expensive. I must say, I was worried about "running" a digital camera, as there is menu options - cords- memory cards and it is just a little overwhelming. This camera, however, is AWESOME. It was so easy to use right out of the box... I am wondering why I was worried. I will concur with a few other reviews I read - Get a 64 GB card or higher... I bought the 32GB card and it does have A LOT of delay before the picture takes. (I will be up grading that soon.) Also, a few reviews posted pictures - VERY blurry ones. Another review the fellow said to hold the button down partially...wait for it...and then press for the photo. This works wonderfully...the camera even shows a flashing icon that stops when it has focused completely. I have yet to have a blurry photo. Even with the kids jumping around the photos are fine. My other concern purchasing this camera, was that I wanted one of the highest Mega Pixels I could get...on my budget. I hope to have photos I can blow up to 5X7 or 8X10 without loosing the crispness. This I do not know yet... as clear as the photos are, I assume they will look fine. When I have an occasion for it -we'll find out. If it doesn't work out, I will have to modify this review. A few years back, my spouse purchased a digital camera for "fun" -but not too cheap, good for it's era. We were disappointed that all of the photos were VERY dark. So when I got this Sony one I tried out some very low to no light at all shots. WOW! The flash on this camera is SO good! I don't think I will ever have to worry about dark pictures again. This does however, run the battery down extremely fast... I plan to purchase some extra batteries to have in my case with me. I would recommend that to anyone. I did try out it's video recording capabilities... they are not too shabby. I had to run it back in VLC media player as other programs did not give me sound. I did not really plan on using this as a video recorder, however, so what it can do is just a plus for me. I would definitely recommend this camera...happy shooting. ... show more

  • Disappointing in Almost Every Way
Style: Camera only
I'm far from a professional photographer, but I've probably taken a few more pictures than the average point and shoot user, including a few photos for special events that were framed and displayed. Having said that, I am extremely disappointed with this camera. The last camera I bought was in 2004 and it was far superior to this one. To be fair, it takes decent shots close up, but the zoom is practically useless. Every shot I took while zoomed came out blurry no matter what shooting mode I tried. So when it comes down to it, why spend $80 on this camera when I can take better shots with my cell phone? I purchased this to make up for the lack of optical zoom on my smartphone and it disappointed in every way. The menus on this thing are all over the place, and they look severely dated. Options are hidden within multiple layers of menu options and finding what you want quickly without using the "easy mode" is puzzling at best. The tracking options are outright confusing and none of them seem to work as intended at all. The screen on the device is also super grainy and it makes the pictures look even worse than they actually are. If I had to say one positive thing about this camera it would be that this thing is tiny and light. It fit comfortably in my pocket along with my cell phone and I definitely didn't feel burdened by carrying an extra device. ... show more

  • Great Camera Great Price
Style: Camera only
I bought this for my 11 year old son who will be traveling soon with his Grandmother. The reason I chose this one is because it was small and the features seemed quite simple to use. It does not come with a memory card but you can get them on Amazon. But the interface is very easy to use and the menu can be made into a more general less detaile done for a child his age. I love love this small compact sleek camera. It also takes stunning photos. ... show more

  • Great camera, but apparently a proprietary USB cable
Style: Camera only
Compact, reliable, and shoots clear pictures. Easy to transfer the photos to my computer via the USB cable. I just wish the camera had a common USB micro or mini port, so that a cheap and readily available cable could be used. I lost the original cable that came with the camera, and none of the old USB cables I keep in my desk could replace it. I had to buy a new cable. ... show more

  • great great camara
Style: Camera only
lots of ' bells and whistles' . takes excellent pictures. value for the money is fantastic. delivers great panoramic shots. standard, wide or 360 panoramic. am more than satisfied with this camera. there are 3 cameras in this Sony panoramic series. prices are about $80, $110 and $130. the ONLY difference between the cameras is the zoom which in turn are x5 , x6 and x8 respectfully. if like me you are not so much into amount of zoom then the less expensive one fits the bill just fine. since there is not a great deal of difference between x5 and x8 then spending $50 more for a camera does not make much sense to ME. ... show more
