Exceptional camera
I was a professional photographer I a past life and wanted a good camera for 3 graduations and a trip to Greece. I did a lot of research using Claude before buying this and it definitely lives up to the reviews. It is nice and compact, easy to carry and takes phenomenal pictures. It is much better than my iPhone or my older Canon DSLR. Flash pictures within 10 feet or so are well balanced. I took low light photos ate the graduation and they were exceptional. While I haven’t used man6 of the features, the ability to vary your shutter speed and aperature combination by just turning the ring on the lense helped me shoot photos of large digital screens without getting those annoying lines as well as getting great depth of field landscapes. I would highly recommend buying the little grip from Sony, it makes it much easier to hold onto. I would give it 6 starts if I could. ... show more

Best compact telephoto camera ever.
Still available new , and rather expensive, but Sony able to put everything into small pocketable camera. Images are superb, telephoto very sharp, focus extremely fast and accurate. If you want a good telephoto compact camera, this is the one to get.

RX 100 upgrade is a disappointment and wouldn't buy it again if I knew what it was like before hand.
Although I've had another RX100 Sony, this is the worst pocket camera that I've ever had. It's anti-intuitive and hard to deal with. Besides being heavy and too large to fit in a pocket. And, the holder is terrible as it folds and doesn't do well. I'd give this back and start over if I had a chance.
