I prefer the size and weight of a mirrorless camera, and I have a few different lenses that I did not plan to replace so I wanted to remain with the Sony e-Mount. The technology advancements between the a6000 and a6700 are amazing. I am just a novice photographer, mostly taking pictures of competitive club and school swimmers, and don't usually shoot in anything other than auto; the new intelligent auto feature just blows my mind! The autofocus is very quick and responsive, even with my The only complaint I have so far is the original Sony battery didn't last as long as predicted (3-4 hours) on my first outing--it only lasted about 2 hours (I ended up taking about 3000 shots in that 4 hour period). I'm glad I had a spare battery that came with this kit, and the spare generic battery seemed to have a better battery life. I’ve had this camera for over a year now and haven’t regretted the purchase for a second. Before this, I used the Sony a6000 and a6400, and this is a significant upgrade in every way. The AI eye tracking is outstanding, it locks onto subjects quickly and reliably, especially when paired with the Sony 200–600mm lens I recently added to my kit. For wildlife photography, this camera really shines. I’ve set up the three programmable modes as “Early Morning,” “Birds in Flight,” and “Early Afternoon,” which makes it easy to adapt quickly to changing conditions in the field. I used to shoot fuji and liked their small body format. I was looking for a smaller but effective backup camera to my a7r. I want to do more of street photography and must travel professionally a lot. I was looking for the X100IV but very quickly gave up on the idea...everyone can guess why! So here I am with this little wonder - the a6700, my first Sony APS-C. Not perfect but pretty close. The ergonomics are great with a good size grip. The images are fantastic and the body format is just what I needed when I added the Smallrig extension. The auto-focus is amazing (especially compared to Fuji). The EVF is small and pixels limited but usable. I would consider the LCD good because I do not use it too much - I need reading glasses for that, which is a pain. The only mistake I made is to buy it with the 16-50mm kit lens which is quite a let down, except maybe for the size. I quickly bought the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and the Sony 20mm f2.8 which are saviors for what I want to do, and the latest makes it pocketable. Overall, great experience so far. ... show more
