This is such a good camera. Sony knocked it out of the park. Great hybrid shooter. It takes tack sharp photos, has great autofocus, 4k120, 10-bit, 4:2:2.... now I just need a computer that can handle all the high quality goodness. My macbook air slowed to a crawl when I tried editing the 4k120 footage I took at the last soccer game.

I bought this primarily for video as I already have 2 Sony full frame cameras. I wanted something lighter to pair with my crane gimbal for wildlife videos. Everything I have used it for has been good gimbal helps when moving around but honestly its internal stabilization is really good. I paired it with the 18-105 zoom and have been really happy with it. Actually keep it in the car because of its size for those shots that just pop up from time to time and for general snapshot photography. It doesn’t take the place of my Sony a7riv but it’s a great camera for a serious hobbiest or videographer.

This was a Christmas gift that was very well received! The camera is amazing, the pictures look very professional. The accessories are also very handy and add value to the overall set. The SD card is fast. Great deal!

I have allso the a6400 and the expensive a7 iv. Love the 6700 in lowlights conditions. Nice grip. Great for traveling

I decided to give it a try and what do you know it only took 15 minutes for it to over heat. My footage said it was saving but as 2…5…10… 15minutes passed and it never finished until it decided to turn off because it was overheating. Wtf. No happy at all with the camera. Camera wouldn’t turn off. I had to bust the battery removal move. It was cold too so I really don’t get why it overheated so quick.

I upgraded from my A6600 hoping to improve my bird photographs. (Love the 350mm lens that I got with the old camera.) I bought the expensive book on the camera, which was absolutely necessary, since Sony's are so unintuitive. Good news: the bird recognition feature is amazing. In good light, I get fantastic, clear shots of birds. However, the camera is still not good in part or full shade. Also, the autofocus seems to be even slower using the bird feature than on the A6600. I can rarely can get it to focus on flying hawks, or birds that are moving quickly. My previous Cannon was soooo much better focusing quickly and in shade and lightened up backlit subjects automatically. Surely Sony can figure out how to take good photos in part or full shade! I switched to mirrorless due to problems getting dust in my SLR, and because of the reduced weight.
