  • Great Camera, Terrible Refund Process
Color: Silver Style: Body Only
Bought the Sony A7CII, really liked it but I couldn't justify the cost. 5 Stars for the camera, 0 Stars for Amazon's Refund Process. Purchased the Sony A7CII with Amazon Gift Cards. Finally go notice of refund with issues on May 24, 2025. Called Amazon Customer Service (ACS) to find out if I had requested the refund to my Debit Card on file or the Amazon Gift Card. The ACS rep told me that it would be refunded to my Amazon Gift Card account in 2-3 hours. Then 2 hours later, got another email from ACS. Issue with refund to GC account, called ACS and they said I need to reply to the email from ACS. So I replied that I wanted the refund to my GC account and not a check from Seattle, WA. Then, I get a reply from the sent email to ACS that the email address was not a reply to, email address. Called ACS for the 3rd time. he had to go to his manager. The refund of $2,157.00 is over the $1,000.00 maximum. Why didn't the 1st ACS rep tell me this? Now it will be 5-7 days for the refund to my Debit Card in my Amazon account. They can't refund that amount to the Amazon GC account that was used to purchase the Sony A7CII. Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it....... ... show more

  • Love this camera!! Great lens selection!
Color: Black Style: Body Only
All the ai autofocus benefits of the more expensive A7rV with the sensor of the A7IV. I switched over to the Sony platform due to the huge catalog of lens options. Hands down they have the best selection of quality glass and any price point. I love the sigma brand lenses. I was trying to find something with the newer A7rV autofocus but didn’t want the high res sensor due to file size. This A7Cii has the same sensor as the A7IV (33mp) but gets all the newer autofocus goodies of the rV. The 33mp sensor is the perfect combination of file size and giving you the ability to crop down a bit. I focus mainly on automotive photography but also branch out occasionally into landscape and architecture. I expect this camera to serve me well for many years. Pair it with a 24-70 lens and you will have an amazingly versatile setup! ... show more

  • A Compact Powerhouse That Redefines Everyday Photography
Color: Silver Style: Body Only
I've been eyeing Sony cameras for a while, contemplating a switch, and the Sony Alpha 7C II finally convinced me to make the jump. From the moment I unboxed it, I knew I had made the right choice. The compact size immediately stood out, offering a sleek and stylish design in silver that feels fantastic to carry everywhere. Here are my thoughts: Pros: 1. Compact Size and Design: The small form factor means I can bring it along without feeling burdened. It's perfect for spontaneous shoots and casual day trips where capturing beauty in the moment is key. I hated bringing my Canon R6 with 24-105 f4 lens because it's a bit weighty and ended up using my phone most of the time. 2. Unlimited Recording Time: As someone who loves shooting videos, the unlimited recording time is a blessing. I can film longer sessions without the constant worry of hitting a recording cap. It does get warm but it has never discouraged me with that overheating icon. 3. Stunning Image and Video Quality: The quality of photos and videos is exceptional. With the sensor comparable to bigger Sony mirrorless, this is a no brainer when it comes to image and video quality. 4. Improved Autofocus: I know Sony is the king when it comes to this category (go on, change my mind) but when I jumped system from Canon, the speed and accuracy just blew my mind. This is another level of autofocus. Cons: It's not a perfect camera so here are the ones that I wish were improved. 1. Lower Resolution Screen: The screen resolution could be better. While not a deal-breaker, a sharper display would enhance the overall experience. 2. Viewfinder Resolution: The viewfinder is on the lower resolution side. It functions adequately, but a bit more clarity would be appreciated. 3. Single SD Card Slot: Having only one SD card slot can be limiting, especially during if one is doing some client work. Having 2 sd cards just give one a peace of mind. I did realize that with its compact size, it would be a challenge to get. Despite these minor drawbacks, the pros far outweigh the cons for me. The compact size alone makes it an absolute joy to carry around. Pair it with a small prime lens, and it becomes the ultimate everyday camera setup. It’s rekindled my love for walking around with a camera in hand, ready to capture whatever catches my eye. All in all, the Sony Alpha 7C II is a fantastic camera for anyone looking to combine portability with full-frame power. If you've been considering a switch to Sony like I was, this camera is worth to consider. ... show more

  • Awesome focus. Killer low light. Compact
Color: Silver Style: Body Only
Started shooting Sony mirrorless in 2023 for work. We ordered the A7Ciis when they were released because the compact size with AI focus is amazing. I like the silver since it reminds me of my old vintage 35mm cameras. I bought this one for my freelance work. The only thing I ever notice is the shutter sounds a bit slower than the A7iv (of course it isn't but it sounds slower). Great great camera. I carry it everyday. ... show more

  • Worth the money? For me, Yes!
Color: Silver Style: Body Only
The camera was well packaged and protected from damage in the box. This is an excellent camera and I have no complaints. I would have purchased the A7 CR for the higher megapixel count, but budget would not allow. I’ve had this camera for a couple of weeks now and it performs flawlessly. The menu is a bit challenging at first, but once you get to know your way around, it’s intuitive. I paired this camera with a Sony 40 mm 2.5 G and it’s a great compact set up. My use case is primarily for travel use, but I will use it for portraits as well. I would highly recommend this camera to enthusiasts or semipro that want a compact form factor and great performance. ... show more

  • I love this camera
Color: Silver Style: Body Only
This has been my work horse for this past year and let me tell you It's been the best camera I've owned! I've shot on micro 4/3s and Canon. I can't say it touches Canon color science but the color science has been improved. As I shot on the original A7c aswell, no more green tint. I mainly do car photography while shooting raw so color science isn't a big deal to me. The only thing I would like is a second SD slot for piece of mind, like how the ZF has a micro second slot, that would have made this camera 5 stars for me! I've shoot big and small lenses all the time. I would recommend a grip for telephoto lenses, if you got that route. If your wondering about the look of the camera, these are skin wraps. ... show more
