The media could not be loaded. This is a beast of a hybrid camera in a small body! I use Sony’s 85mm f1.8 and Sony 20-70mm f4 for spur of the moment everyday photography. The photo quality is sharp, the focus tracking is very fast and you can even adjust the tracking response speed in the menu. The shutter has a nice sound to it and the video options are nice enough for professional paid work. Sony has a new firmware update available too. The menu is easier to navigate and the touchscreen helps you get there faster, you can even swipe, pinch zoom in or out like on an iPhone. I bought mine used like new and it looks and works perfectly for daily photos, street photography, portraits and product photography. For video the body can get warm but the firmware v1.02 update helped. The only odd thing about this camera for me is the power on/off switch positions. To turn it on I have to turn the switch towards me instead of away from me. ... show more

I made a decision to purchase this camera, after long-time debating between available options out there. Primarily, because it supports my all- time favorite lens Sony Carl 135mm f1.8 very nicely. Of course with Sony adapter la-ea5. Fast auto focus with eye tracking, especially able to get sharp photos of static object at speed 1/20s. Happy so far. Its single slot SD card, and small but very usable view-finder don’t bother me, I had initial hesitation after trying a7c with small dull view finder, at BB.. But not an issue any more with this baby. My older a7 and a7r3 worked with this lens but poorly auto focus and I am waiting for the better. And now it comes a7cii. Lack of joystick is not problem at all . Used to handle the Sony nex-5, same here. Sony a7r5 and a1 were the possible candidates for my favorite lens but their grainy images captured in low light were really not my acceptance. I know they will bother me when processing these photos. Skip … a7cii wins here. I have a bunch of high-end Nikon f- mounted lenses, and have eyes on Nikon Zf. But lack of protection for sensor from this camera really disappointed me. Nikon, how much more money for integrating this sensor’s projection to the Zf ? I am willing to pay more to get it…Marketing strategy like this don’t make me buy z8/9, but a7cii . Get this camera a7cii and you will be happy playing with it. People complain anything about this camera because they are bored :-) ... show more

This is a great camera overall. The AI tracking is fantastic. The size is fantastic. The viewfinder has a lot left to be wished for it’s uncomfortable to use in. The angle is very odd. Maybe you can get used to it overtime. But the camera itself was working well until I noticed the battery was acting up, and the charge was getting less and less, I guess this is what happens when you expect higher quality batteries. It’s sad but I had to return this camera because there was no other way of resolving the battery issue. Let me say it was not an easy return because Amazon required it to be Hand picked up from my house. , I guess this is what happens when you expect higher quality batteries. Fully spec’d out camera, does everything you want it to do and more. The size is insanely small for what it brings. I honestly have no idea why anyone would buy any other camera in a similar price range, the A7Cii is excellent!
