Description
The Sony Alpha a7R III Mirrorless Camera blends high resolution, speed, and advanced video capabilities in a versatile full-frame design. Built around a 42.4MP Exmor R back-illuminated CMOS sensor and powered by the BIONZ X image processor, the camera delivers exceptional image quality with fine detail, reduced noise, and a sensitivity range from ISO 100 to 32000, expandable to ISO 50 to 102400. The advanced sensor design improves light collection and clarity while eliminating the optical low-pass filter for sharper results. Continuous shooting is supported at up to 10 frames per second with full autofocus and auto exposure tracking for up to 76 frames, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving subjects. The Fast Hybrid Autofocus system uses 399 phase detection points and 425 contrast detection areas to provide fast and accurate focusing, along with improved subject tracking and Eye AF for both human and animal subjects. For video recording, the a7R III supports UHD 4K capture at up to 30 frames per second using full-frame readout or Super35 oversampling for enhanced detail and reduced artifacts. Full HD recording at up to 120 frames per second enables smooth slow motion capture. Advanced video features such as S-Log3 and Hybrid Log Gamma provide expanded dynamic range and flexible color grading options. A built-in 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE stabilization system offers up to 5.5 stops of compensation for sharper handheld shooting. The camera features a high-resolution OLED electronic viewfinder, tilting touchscreen LCD, dual SD card slots, extended battery life, and a magnesium alloy body with weather sealing for reliable performance in demanding conditions.
