Bought it for my new puppy to play on and sleep on. It's a play mat part time and it's a bed part time. It washed and dried fine in the machines. The backing is very thin and will not hold up to high traffic areas for too long. It's so soft that it can be slippery when you walk on it so beware. Okay I have really mixed reviews of this product. I want to give it a great review but I ordered the grey and I'm assuming they really brightened up the picture because my rug is not that color at all or that light. The pic I took doesn't even really show the color it actually is in person. This rug is like a dark slate blue. It's more of a blue then a grey. Luckily the abstract color of the room I ordered it for is slate blue so I got lucky that the color still matches but it's not at all like the picture of a light grey rug. Now the quality.... It is super thin. Sitting on the rug is like laying a sheet on the floor and sitting on it. I'm going to buy a mat or something to place under it so it's more comfortable for my grandson but with the cost of both I could have just bought a good quality rug. The feel is super soft, but it's a bunch of tiny threads to mimic a plush look. These are tiny threads and actually a little slippery when bare foot. It still doesn't look near as plush as what they picture. In the sales pic it looks like a completely different rug or maybe they dried it so it looked really plush. If you are buying it just to look nice, it does look nice especially for the price. Bottom line for me, it's still a nice rug for the price but if it was the color I ordered and just had a better backing for comfort or even if the pictured showed the true quality of the rug so I knew what I was ordering then it would be more stars. I didn’t even dry it I just washed it and the lining shrunk a lot.. but luckily it goes well with my messy carpet aesthetic.. hahaha

This product lays complete flat and is not plush like shown in the cover photo. This is not a pile carpet, the fibers lay complete flat, and indeed very soft to the touch, but there is no cushion to this at all. I ordered this for our bathroom to have when coming out of the tub/shower. It is so super comfortable and absorbs the water nicely and dries out after a little bit. It is easy to was and the put back out!
