  • Wish it could power 2 HDMI ports.
This thing is great. I wish I didn’t have to use one of the thunderbolt ports for an additional monitor. It would be nice if it could connect two hdmi monitors.

  • Stopped working and my files from my NVME got deleted
Changing my rating to 5 since the problem i stated below was caused by my ipad that updated to the latest release of ios version at the same time i connected it to the dock, just coincidence i guess. But after restarting my ipad, i could now see all my files. And is the most capable dock i have ever tried. Worked great out of the box, connected it to my ipad pro then shows up on my "files" the connected samsung 970 evo plus inside the enclosure. Transferred all my files there, then after 20 minutes i can no longer see my files on the ssd enlcosure. Seems like all the files got deleted!!! Luckily i haven't deleted my original files on my samsung ssd yet. ... show more

  • Pretty Good With Some Problems
Love the all the ports but when waking up from sleep (MacBook Pro M1 + 2 External Displays) often times not all displays wake up and get warning that external hard drive was disconnected. Only way I found to wake the display was to unplug the Sonnettech from my Mac and reconnect. Sonnettech does not have any posted firmware updates. ... show more

  • Very capable dock, very good price
This dock has all the features I need and is driving two 27" monitors for my M3 Pro Macbook Pro perfectly. So far I have noticed no issues. It is very low profile, although I plan on mounting it underneath the desk so that won't matter much. I have not yet installed an SSD so I can't provide feedback on that feature. At around $50 to $100 cheaper than other docks, this one is a great buy. ... show more

  • It just works.
I purchased an M1 Macbook Pro at the end of 2022, and ever since have been juggling a mess of dongles and adapters to give me the connectivity I need. This puts an end to all of that -- with just one cable! The Sonnet Echo 20 has given me all the connectivity I need and more in a relatively small, well-built package. Several of the dongles I've purchased in the past year have required some kind of driver to get working properly, which Apple makes a pain to set up. This dock doesn't require any drivers. I plugged it in for the first time, and it just worked. I have a 1440p 49" ultrawide monitor, and this thing handles it great! Other USB hubs I've bought will only send a maximum of 1080p signal to my monitor, yet they claim to be able to handle 4K @ 60fps. This dock has no problems sending a true 1440p signal to my monitor and did so without having to go into display settings to fiddle around with the resolution. I am a music producer and have been running my audio interface through this dock for a while, and I've experienced no noticeable added latency or drop in audio quality. I also have a Samsung 980 Pro 2TB installed into the M.2 slot, and it has been working flawlessly. Overall, this is a great dock. It works out of the box with no additional setup required, is built to last, and has been a pleasure to use. I plan to continue using it for years to come. ... show more

  • Perfect for Mac Studio M2
Absolutely love this! And it solved my biggest problem - audio interface. When I'm not recording, which is MOST of the time, I just want my studio speakers to work and be able to control them with the keyboard volume controls. The RCA connections make it possible. No extra software. No third party apps. No turning my Apogee on and off three times to get it to work. I was thinking about spending $1k on a better audio interface that would not give me any extra thunderbolt connections. This Superdock is a bargain! ... show more

  • Completely incompatible with Win11 OS
These Thunderbolt 3/4 and 4 are NOT compatible at all with Windows 11. Windows 11 removed the native TB drivers that were resident in Win10. The native driver – which must be separately downloaded from Lenovo is only compliant with the Lenovo dock. Reverting to Win10 from 11 is not an option as it requires a clean install. Lastly, in this ThinkPad, there are no options of what Sonnet Tech described in a length email. That email was in response to a BlackSOD for which a one hour search of the internet resulted in no hits - meaning it is internal to a proprietary device algorithm or fault code. The solution to the above BSOD was to remove from the TB port (I tried them all); boot the machine and then reconnect the USB-C. THAT is obviously an unacceptable solution. IMHO, Sonnet Tech knew full well their docks are not Win11 compatible. I tried on three other new Win11 machines and two newer Win10 including Apple. The Win10 were fine. All the Win11's failed at boot. ... show more

  • Worked great, right out of the box
I just got my new M2 Macbook Pro and my setup includes two 24-inch monitors. I used the single HDMI port, along with one of the Thunderbolt ports and everything was just fine in a snap. I also like to close the laptop and use an external keyboard and mouse, which this dock allows with no extra software required. ... show more
