These want you to hate them, but if you embrace the game before the gain, they’re a delight. Stay with me… Do you remember Razzles? First they’re a candy, then they’re a gum? Well, first this is a mind-teaser and then it’s a super-sturdy, highly functional, rather fetching clutter, kitchen, and gack organizer. The trick? You have to pre-use the holes or the legs are going to be “just throw us away” levels of wobbly. I used a really small screw driver to work them out a bit. Then I screwed in the screws without the legs. Then I put them together just as your brain would imagine and instructions suggest. Above and beyond the call of “some assembly required,” sure. But it was like I got to do a puzzle and relive Jr. High shop class. And I have a fun story to tell people if I ever try to be some kind of social, so I’ve got that going for me, which is nice. Now these are a legit 5 out of 5 stars. I’m giving them 4, because my soul would hurt if my joy from the extra steps was your source of pain. ... show more

All parts there. Had to warm up identification stickers to get them off without creating a mess (cold here today, may not be an issue someplace warmer). Plenty of screws, and a couple extra. Nice touch. If you have a few extra you will never need them :-). Exact amount will lead to an adventure to find the one that got dropped :-). The little screwdriver they supply will work (pliers to grip and turn may be needed), but a stubby and an offset will be helpful. I have a ratcheting stubby that worked quite well, just had to remove the cap where extra bits are stored to get the smaller shelf done. Earlier review suggested starting the screws before screwing down the brackets, HIGHLY recommended. Quite pleased, will probably get a few more :-). ... show more

I love that these double my counter space. And they have a very classic yet modern look to them. They were easy to assemble. They seem to be a very good quality. They would be able to hold quite a bit of weight. I would recommend these and buy them again should the need arise.

I am happy enough with the idea of these shelves, and they do a good job of creating extra space on my kitchen counters. I just wish the finish on the bamboo or wood or whatever material they're made from was, well, there. They immediately started showing damage from water rings. And to me, an item that cannot survive contact with water does not belong in the kitchen. I can oil them or refinish them myself, but you're not getting a good quality product here. The shelf set looks great & seems very sturdy once assembled. But the provided Phillips head screwdriver tool is very hard to use. I had to get out my own tool. The manufacturer should have milled the short length of the L; this would offer easy of use. But, don’t over tighten the screws— the bamboo wood plank can crack & split…. a daub of wood glue fixed mine. Overall, the set is a good product. ... show more

I like the design of these shelves - stackable, attractive, real bamboo wood, and sturdy iron legs. I want more, and will probably order more. They are simple to put together, in theory, with the parts labeled and pre-drilled screw holes. In reality, the screws are awful to screw in completely. The pre-drilled holes are too small. The little L-shaped screwdriver tool is incorrectly designed. The Phillips head needs to be on the long end for more torque. I managed to get the screws tight, but it took dome time. I needed to grasp the tool with a needle-nose pliers to get the extra torque. In order to not strip the Phillips slots on the screws, I turned the screwdriver in quarter turn increments. It took time, but it worked. It takes a lot of grip strength to put the shelves together. ... show more
