I bought this for a simple and cute way to have some extra storage in our living room. I was a little skeptical at first that it might look cheap/flimsy. When you first open it, it's like a folded down box that you'll build up (think of those fabric storage cubes). So, I was worried it would collapse and fold easily or look flimsy. But I was surprised! It's very sturdy. I have a two year old who likes to climb on everything, so it's officially toddler tested. The material is definitely not going to pass as genuine or fine leather, but it looks nice! The interior storage has a divider that you can insert/remove. This 30" unit will go under a bedroom window to store some of my clothing. I am pleasantly surprised at the appearance and quality for the price. I expected it to look much cheaper, but it looks pretty nice for what it is. It is extremely easy to set up; just three parts-- the main compartment that folds out, a rigid bottom to insert to stabilize it, and the thick padded top. It includes instructions but none are really needed. It does say to avoid prolonged direct sunlight as colors might fade. It seems sturdy and stable enough for sitting on it, but I wouldn't do a lot of wiggling around or stand on it, as the two ends might fold back in somehow. There was a strong plastic smell when it was first opened so I am airing it out for a day or so before I put clothing in it. I think it will work well for my purposes and it seems good quality for the price. ... show more

When I first assembled this I was unsure if it will hold up. Surprisingly, it’s heavy duty and super sturdy. It is of faux leather material and has a semi cushioned top. Inside it has a divider which is attached with velcro material. Once assembled it becomes pretty heavy. Its height is 14 inches from ground and it is 3 feet and a half long. It’s easy to use, but top is somewhat heavy probably about 10 pounds. The black color ottoman is vibrant and there has not been signs of fading. I got this ottoman a few months ago. I wanted to wait to review because I have two small children and I knew they were going to a bit rough with it since I use it in my living room. This thing is AMAZING. I love the storage we have blankets some family games In them and we still have plenty of room for more items. My kids have spilled everything you can imagine from juice, pop, water and I was able to clean it up with no problem. I’ve used paper towels, sanitizing wipes and it looks brand new again. Although it is very easy to move it’s still very durable. Two adults could sit on it and 3 kids and it would not break or feel uncomfortable.
