I needed an inexpensive chair that could be used at a pinch as an extra chair in the living room. I came across this SOMPOK accent chair and thought it would fit the bill, so I ordered it. The chair requires assembly as is pretty much the norm for almost all small furniture nowadays. The parts were not individually labelled, which was not a huge deal as most of the parts were quite discrete and there would be no confusion. There were instructions which could have used better pictures to be honest. It was not always clear as to orientation for some of the parts. Having said that the parts all went together almost without issue. There was one bolt hole that was slightly out of place which made tightening the bolt difficult but not impossible. I am not going to dock the review a star for that because at the end of the day I did manage to get the bolt in securely. All the bolts use an Allen wrench for tightening and I would recommend using a ratcheting screwdriver if you have bits that would fit. It's not that it is impossible to use the supplied Allen wrench, but the ratcheting screwdriver makes it so much easier and faster. Assembly took around 25 minutes which included me making a mistake because I misinterpreted the orientation of one of the parts and had to disassemble a couple of pieces. That time, however, is based on me using a ratcheting screwdriver. I would expect assembly to take longer if you just use the Allen wrench. Once assembled the seat looks exactly as it does in the listing. I was a little surprised, quite frankly, at just how comfortable it actually was. I have not previously bought a chair like this so I wasn't quite sure what I would think. The chair is actually rated for 330 lbs. so should be strong enough for most folks. Additionally, the chair comes with a one-year warranty. Overall, I am very pleased with the chair, and it will fulfill the purpose I had in mind for it very well indeed. The instruction booklet is a bit annoying, it doesn't indicate that the velcro side needs to be down. Setup took about 15-20 minutes, I need to just whack the piece sometime so the screw holes match, I ended up bruising the metal frame doing this. It looks good and is comfortable to sit on.

Overall this is a pretty nice looking chair. I have it in my home office and it's a nice addition. Assembly was pretty easy, although the instructions left something to be desired. I got this for my teenage sons room, as he wanted a futon but didn’t quite have enough room so we decided on an accent chair. His room is done in neutral colors, with a style of modern/sleek/industrial type decor and furnishing. This chair fits perfectly. It was easy to put together, about 20 mins tops. It looks really classy. He’s a big fan. He’s 6’ tall and weighs 185 lbs, and some chairs he just seems too big for. But this one is generously sized. He doesn’t look like he’s sitting in a kids chair. His older sister sat in it for awhile last night and she said it’s really comfortable. They like how the seat kind of angles back and allows you to rest comfortably against the back. I was unsure about it at first but now that I see it in the room and have seen them sitting in it, I think it’s a perfect fit. 10/10. ... show more

Tip: make sure the Velcro faces the bottom (you’ll know when you’re putting this together). If you don’t you’ll have to take some of it apart again. It looks great and, with my mistake, took about 20 minutes. It’s comfortable.
