I bought this remote on the advice of the blind manufacturer. I carefully read the Amazon description and even consulted the Somfy website to ensure the remote was compatible with my motorized blinds. I had scheduling problems with the technician and when he finally arrived he was not able to program the remote despite following the instructions thoroughly, consulting co-workers and referencing the Somfy website. Amazon will not accept a return and refund my $100 because I initiated a return 10 days past the arbitrary 30 day return window. So now I have a $100 tchotchke on my desk that I'll look at every time I contemplate ordering something from Amazon. ... show more

I received two of these remotes, neither worked. I spoke directly with (Drew) a Somfy Customer Service representative, and he asked me to send him a picture of the back of the remote. He told me that this product was recalled and should not have been sold. Thanks to Amazon's return policy I was able to recover my cost. ... show more
