  • Terrific little sprayer...
Style: Pressure Sprayer
Solo 418-2L 2-Liter One-Hand Pressure Sprayer Pros: - container is tough, thick, hard, nylon-type material. Rap it with your knuckles and it goes "thock". Opening is about 1.5" in diameter for easy filling. - nozzle end easily adjusts up or down. E.g., to spray vertically, point the nozzle up rather than pointing the unit up. - at the nozzle's mist setting, liquid goes about 4' and disperses to a foot in diameter at 3' from the nozzle. The mist is so fine, it almost disappears. - nozzle can be adjusted from that mist setting to a 1/16" diameter stream which can be shot up to 30'. - with the container ½ full (one liter), once air pressure is attained, most of that liter can be sprayed before needing to pump again. It sprays for quite a long time before needing to pump again. - comes with a translucent, and removable, "cup" that attaches to the nozzle assembly; this catches excess liquid when spraying vertically and offers drift protection. - ergonomics are excellent. It has a comfortable main handle, pump handle, nozzle adjustment, trigger, etc. - chemically resistant construction allows use of cleaners, fertilizers, pesticides, weed control, bleaching agents, etc. This was important to me since parts of our previous sprayer of this size dissolved with bleach cleaners. - very lightweight; most of the weight when using, is the liquid you put in the tank. Cons: - with a ½ full tank, about 50 [quick] strokes on the pump handle will attain good pressure. That takes about 20-25 seconds of pumping. With 2 liters, it takes about 30 strokes. - container rocked slightly on it's 4 molded-in feet. Application of a thin stick-on felt pad on the shortest foot fixed that. Other: - This model has a short (3.5") wand. The 419-2L has a 9.5" wand and the 420-2L has a 23" wand, but otherwise are identical to the 418-2L. - As with most sprayers, it can't be used with acid, caustic liquids, potentially injurious chemicals, or flammable liquids such as gasoline. Summary: This is a well engineered hand sprayer at a reasonable cost. Significantly better than the comparably sized units we previously bought at Home Depot and Lowes... ... show more

  • Nice Handle. Very Functional Sprayer
Style: Pressure Sprayer
I've bought two of these sprayers and have been pleased with the operation for both. One is used for fly spray for the horses and the other for spot weed control (with both clearly labeled). The size is big enough for spot applications but also lightweight. The pump to pressurize the container works easily. The lid has an arrow to indicate where to put oil. Oil helps it to seal and operate more smoothly. As with many sprayers, getting a good seal can be difficult sometimes and a breeze other times. There is a cone around the nozzle that that helps direct the spray. The nozzle is adjustable for the size mist/droplet desired. One thing that made this particular sprayer desirable for me was the handle. It has a smooth handle that is big enough for all of my fingers to wrap around it. Many other sprayers either have short handles or have nubs for finger grips. Unfortunately for me, the spacing always seems to be uncomfortable for me. I hate to admit how many stores I've gone to looking for one that felt good. And then one day, I just got lucky and bought this one off Amazon. Of course I had no idea how good it would feel in my hand until it arrived, but it was perfect. ... show more

  • What a sprayer
Style: Pressure Sprayer
We use this to spray down tile everyday that otherwise turns black and moldy. It's nicer to pump and spray this than squeeze a trigger 20 times. Feels high quality. I'm not sure how many pumps it will take before it explodes, every time I pump it more than 10 I put on my safety squints.

  • Awesome Sprayer!
Style: Pressure Sprayer
I just had to write to say how much I love this sprayer! It is easy to set up, light to carry and it almost made spraying my weeds fun! If you can believe that! I was frustrated a week or so ago because I had bought a container of RoundUp that had some newfangled battery-operated sprayer mechanism (which I didn't realize when I bought it). (And, yes, I have tried the vinegar/dawn/epsom salt combo to help the environment but it just doesn't work on my weeds). Well, I had such a hard time trying to get the RoundUp sprayer to work that I gave up. Now, with this new sprayer from Solo, I simply unscrewed the cap of the RoundUp bottle and poured it in. The opening is wide enough on the Solo sprayer that I didn't make too much of a mess and within a minute I was happily spraying. A few years ago I had bought another sprayer and last year it stopped working. I had to have my husband help me fix it - I just get so aggravated when things don't work right or easily. So, that is why I am writing - to let you know this Solo sprayer is wonderful and easy to use. Also, my arms don't hurt from lugging it around and my fingers don't hurt from pulling the trigger! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Good but I need a bit more pressure.
Style: Pressure Sprayer
I like this and only use it to pre-spray my car with a rinseless dilution before washing my car. I like it for what it is but more pressure would be better for spreading the chemical and speed up the process. I might try one of those IK sprayer.

  • I love these sprayers!
Style: Pressure Sprayer
I love these little one-handed sprayers, I own several in 1 and 2 liter sizes. For anything where I need some volume of spray more than a trigger sprayer can comfortably deliver, these are perfect. I use them for daily shower spray (so fast to hose down the entire shower), insecticides in the garden, I even painted a small fence with an old one. If they are pumped to enough pressure the resulting spray is almost a fine mist. Something to be aware of with these. They have the option to spray continously without holding down the trigger button, by engaging a small siding button that is on top of the trigger. I kept engaging that piece by accident without knowing, and the first few times i scrambled to figure out how to stop the spray LOL. I don't need this feature so I used some wraps of tape to keep the sliding piece from engaging. ... show more

  • Works well and easy to use.
Style: Pressure Sprayer
Easy to pump up to a good working pressure. Be careful you don't go crazy and pump it up so much that you blow the thing up. I'm not sure that's really possible but you don't need to pump it more than about 10 times when you're starting from scratch. Nozzle adjust to various spray patterns that are useful trigger lock is nice. ... show more
